🌞 A bold step towards net-zero hospitality! We’re proud to be part of a groundbreaking project that is helping to reshape sustainable hospitality in the UK. The 142-bedroom voco Zeal Exeter Science Park by Zeal Hotels | Mindfully Modern is believed to be the first UK hotel to feature vertical solar panels on its exterior walls as cladding. Designed and installed by the outstanding team at Your Eco, including Nick Spicer FRGS and Amanda Spicer, the 2,619-panel vertical solar façade is projected to generate more electricity than the hotel consumes annually. To address the unique challenges of vertical solar installations, such as shading and variable sunlight angles, Your Eco selected our SolarEdge DC optimised inverters and S-Series Power Optimizers, ensuring maximum energy yield and enhanced safety. This project is more than a technical achievement. It is a powerful example of what is possible when sustainability, innovation, and design come together. The system is expected to save around £200,000 annually and deliver a return on investment in just 18 months.
