International authorities begin examination of Steady Energy’s LDR-50 concept 🔍⚛️ Nuclear safety authorities from Ukraine (SNRIU), Poland (PAA), Sweden (SSM), the Czech Republic (SÚJB), and Finland (STUK) have commenced a coordinated Joint Early Review (JER) of the LDR-50’s safety solutions - an innovative step in global pre-licensing collaboration. Each authority will conduct its evaluation based on its own national regulatory framework, while drawing on STUK’s earlier assessments allowing for diverse regulatory perspectives on the safety architecture of the LDR-50 concept. This early examination provides valuable feedback and supports our preparation for future licensing processes across international markets 🌍 “The Joint Early Review process allows Steady Energy to be better prepared for the formal licensing process in each of these countries once we get projects ongoing”, says Juho Vierimaa, Head of Licensing and Quality, Steady Energy. The process began in October 2025 and will continue through summer 2026, with each regulator contributing independently and a consolidated summary of findings delivered to Steady Energy. #NuclearSafety #SMR #EnergyTransition #EarlyReview #SteadyEnergy STUK - Säteilyturvakeskus Swedish Radiation Safety Authority Państwowa Agencja Atomistyki
