TechServe Alliance Tri-State Chapter’s Post

When Kathy McHugh started East End Resources over 25 years ago (7 months pregnant with her second daughter and working out of a small NYC apartment), she had left a successful job seeking a life where she could be her own boss and could deal with both clients and candidates honestly and respectfully. Kathy thought that paying the candidates fairly and valuing the clients’ time by sending only the best resumes could be the key to a long-lasting business where all concerned were a little bit happier in the process. It seems to have worked – she has served many of the same clients for over 20 years, added new ones, and kept her mantra of “Good resumes to the clients, fair pay rates to the consultants”. Treat people with respect on both sides of the equation, both client and candidate, and your business can thrive. Being a member of the TechServe Alliance since 1997 has also been a key piece to success. She can easily find out what is going on in the industry, meet with peers from all over the country willing share their experience and ideas, use the excellent TechServe contracts, and save a ton of money by working with their wonderful insurance team. Kathy said, "TechServe has been a constant in my business journey, and I cannot imagine life at East End Resources without it!"
