Today, we celebrate our 89th birthday as a company!
From our humble beginnings in Ogden, Utah, to the growth and impact we’re able to make today, our journey has been shaped by the people who believed in us, worked alongside us, and trusted us year after year. It’s a legacy built on dedication, service, and an unwavering commitment to our community.
As we celebrate with our team, we’re honored to share a special moment from this year: a video of our CEO, Terry Buckner, being inducted into the Utah Independent Agents Hall of Fame. This recognition reflects not just individual leadership, but the values and spirit that have carried our company through nearly nine decades. Thank you for being part of our story, here’s to many more years ahead.

We love Terry Buckner. Ohh, My goodness. He has been such a help. And I'm telling you, the things that he has focused on in the community and here at Hale Center Theater have been amazing. And we are so amazed by his generosity, his good heart. He is a real community builder and a good friend. We are so excited for this award for you, Terry. Yeah, we are so proud of you, Terry. Over the years and decades, you have provided an invaluable service helping to make people and things. Cool. And man, that's that's important in times of crisis especially. What a gift. I love the quote that says. The sign of a man's greatness is what he leaves growing. And Terry, you are a giant among men. Thank you. You have been such an amazing leader in our industry and also have made a huge contribution in our community. I don't really know what any of us would be without you. One of my favorite memories of you is from a time that you came back after a successful mountain biking trip where you mentioned that you happened to crash and break your collarbone. And your comment? You're not a real mountain biker unless you break your collarbone. So you completed that successfully. 2 days after that, you ended up attending a Buccaneer Company golf event, going around shaking everyone's hand with your good available hand and making sure everyone was feeling welcome to this event again. It just another great example of where your love for others, your love for the industry outshines your own personal discomfort. Terry, I feel like one of the things that's made you so successful. As a business leader, is your involvement in the community? And also. Is the way that you care about people. I view you, Terry, as a builder. Not just a builder of business, but a builder of people. You are not only a great CEO, you are a mentor who leads by example, who takes the time to invest in people and believe in them, and who makes others around you. Better, I think that the qualities that you've always looked at would be family, faith and business and not necessarily in any particular order, but how you have always allowed employees to do the things that are important to them. And to make sure that they're able to accomplish the things in their personal life as well as in their professional life. I think that's how we build a team. And I think that's where our teams come from. And I'm grateful that I'm a part of that team with you.
All of my favorites Mark Dietlein, Sally Dietlein, Peggy Larsen, Frank Lancaster, Ray Pickup, Justin Robinson, Brett Nilsson!! 89 has never looked so good Terry Buckner!
