The TJX Companies, Inc. I want to formally document serious concerns regarding my experience during my training days and the second day of my scheduled shifts. Homegoods The TJX Companies, Inc. A coworker approached me about joining the union and, when I asked if it was mandatory, responded, “Why wouldn’t you do it?” I felt pressured and misinformed, as union membership is supposed to be voluntary. I am resigning as of today, not because I didn’t like the job, but because the work environment was completely unacceptable. Management was recording indirect time, requiring me to track every minute of supportive tasks. The micromanaging involved in this process was absolutely horrible and created a very uncomfortable and unprofessional work environment. For a 10-hour shift, we were only given a 30-minute break, and it takes about 3 minutes to exit and re-enter the warehouse, further reducing actual break time. The break schedule is awful. Ernie Herrman?!??????????? A workplace that truly cares about its employees would communicate clearly, treat new hires respectfully, provide reasonable breaks, and manage fairly without excessive micromanagement. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of these standards.
