had coffee with a founder friend today. Of course, we got into AI and hiring. He said something interesting.. "I'm not struggling to find good people anymore. I'm struggling to figure out what's still worth paying a person to do." We used to compete on speed and accuracy. Now we’re competing on the things that make us human. It feels like we’re past asking, "Will AI take my job?" And started asking, "What am I good at that matters more when the routine tasks go away?" Things like: - Making judgment calls when the data tells three different stories. - Building trust when someone’s about to lose their house and needs to know you care. - Seeing patterns between that failed startup and this new product launch. If you want to hire well right now, use AI to clear the routine work. Then invest in the roles where judgment, trust, and creativity matter the most.
