They want to test, break, and improve systems in real-world conditions—over weeks and months, not years. You should think about this: what if you could take your technology from concept to battlefield use faster? Lieutenant General James Glynn says speed matters most in these dynamic environments. Waiting for perfect solutions will slow forces down. They want to work with tech that might fail so they can fix it quickly. The Joint Fires Network is a good example. It began as a mix of separate prototypes but rapidly turned into a tool combat forces use today. Here’s the ask: - Bring five prototypes to exercises. - Take one or two back. - Leave three for Marines to test further. - Use shared data to improve systems continuously. This model changes how defense innovation happens. It focuses on collaboration and agility. How can your work help the Marine Corps move faster? Are you ready to shift toward this rapid prototyping approach? 💬 Feel free to share your thoughts and engage with this important topic. The federal acquisition process has historically been slow and arduous, resulting in projects being outdated and way over budget before they even enter service. These new policies will allow the US to align future projects with more agile and ever evolving technical and tactical environments.

At Vantor, our mission supporting the defense community is clear: enable real-time command and control, from space to ground. The modernization policies outlined today by Secretary Hegseth — particularly the emphasis on faster fielding of capability, more commercial-tech integration, and acquisition reforms to reduce bureaucratic drag — are a vital and timely step toward that mission. But transformation doesn’t happen just because policy changes. It happens when leadership and industry commit to accountability and teams act with urgency and purpose. Comprehensive reforms like acquisition overhaul will take years to fully deliver, but we don’t have to wait to make progress. Right now, we can improve through smarter processes, more agile contracting, tighter system integration, and by aligning what we build with what our warfighters and decision-makers really need. Fix what’s fixable now while building the foundation for the future. Warfighters can’t wait for perfect policy. They need better tools today.

Outstanding message from Susanne Hake on the importance of speed, agility, and commercial-tech integration in supporting our defense community. At Vantor we’re driving toward exactly that—real-time command and control, from space to ground—by building solutions that cut through bureaucratic drag and get the right tools in the hands of warfighters faster. Couldn’t agree more: transformation happens when leadership and industry move with urgency, accountability, and purpose. Fix what’s fixable now, while laying the foundation for tomorrow.
