Thank you to New York Solar Energy Industries Association for an incredible Solar + Storage Summit this week. It was a pleasure moderating the “Retail Storage’s Moment in the Sun” panel and exploring how quickly distributed storage is evolving in New York alongside David Sandbank, Claudia Villar-Leeman, Adam Cohen, and Andrew Gordon. I also spoke with attendees about the runoff election for NYSEIA’s Board of Directors. After a strong turnout in the general election, we ended with a three-way tie for the final two seats — and I’m part of the runoff, open through midnight on Wednesday, November 19. To my fellow NYSEIA members: Don’t miss your chance to vote! Over the past three years on the Board, I’ve worked to advance thoughtful interconnection and permitting reform, better market design, durable incentives, and a more resilient, community-centered DG sector. If re-elected, I’m committed to continuing that work. I wrapped up Day 2 of the conference with remarks at the CleanCapital sponsored happy hour. It is always a great chance to connect with so many industry leaders. Excited to keep pushing New York’s clean energy transition forward together.
