What were some of the things that that hadn't been done emergency preparedness wise that we know now are critical, critical to something of this magnitude? First thing, early warning. And. Transportation to shelters. For that critical group of the poor. Those without public transportation, the elderly, nursing homes. You know, one most horrible stories of of Hurricane Katrina is in Saint Bernard Parish. All residents of a nursing home drowned. In their nursing home. You know. We have to be able to get people. To safety.
