Western Partitions, Inc.’s Post

The University of Oregon's second-oldest building, Villard Hall, recently reopened after an extensive modernization, and our Eugene team played a key role. Originally built in 1886 and now recognized as a National Historic Landmark, the building’s exterior needed to remain true to its original character. One of our tasks? Restore the intricate exterior ornamentation. Some of the original elements had deteriorated beyond repair, so our team had fiberglass replica pieces molded and installed that preserved the building’s historic identity while providing long-term durability. Inside, Villard Hall now features upgraded classroom technology, an improved theater space, and seismic reinforcements. It also serves as the new home for the Cinema Studies department, bringing students and faculty together under one roof after years of being spread across campus. Our scopes included framing, drywall, insulation, acoustic ceilings, paint, plaster, exterior fiberglass components, and pipe grid ceilings. #TogetherWeBuild #VillardHall #UniversityOfOregon
