On Wednesday, I spent an afternoon at the Stripe offices in London with founders and builders working with stablecoins in the UK 🇬🇧 I actually lived in London for around a year during the earlier stages of building Bridge. It's great to be back and see the fintech, banking, and crypto communities converging—the energy was palpable. A few highlights: - Tony McLaughlin's advice for the UK: employ the Pokémon strategy. Open up the UK financial sector to provide wallets so everyone can receive US stablecoins—catch them all. - Mike Hudack used Sling to send money instantly to Brazil. - Andy and Donovan from Agant minted a GBP-backed stablecoin live. One thing I'm particularly excited about in 2026: we're going to see many more non-USD stablecoins, which should meaningfully accelerate growth for businesses globally.
