U.S. staffing hours remain strong, hovering near their 2025 high

Article content

The U.S. staffing indicator has been flat for most of the fall, holding steady at 80 for seven of the last eight weeks. Commercial hours have been much the same, remaining stable throughout the fall and staying around 2-4% below 2024 levels. Professional hours have seen more ups and downs, but are currently at the same level they were the week of September 27th. So far, Q4 is following typical seasonal patterns, just at a slightly lower level than in previous years.
