Caring is what we do

Caring is what we do

Niki Fontaine Director of Brand, CSR Communications and Public Relations at Bouygues

In a world marked by geopolitical, economic, social and environmental instability, caring is no longer an option — it's essential.

And in the face of such global upheaval, companies have a crucial role to play. Not a supporting role. A leading one. A role that means taking action, offering support, bringing people together — and helping pave the way to a fairer future. At Bouygues, caring is part of our DNA.

It has always inspired our actions and continues to guide us in clear ways, through the commitment of our people, our support for non-profit initiatives, and the deep involvement of our foundations across every part of the Group. It fuels our diversity and inclusion efforts, in France and beyond. Because inclusion is not an end in itself, but an opportunity. It's an opportunity to attract talent, enrich our corporate culture, boost innovation, and meet today’s social and economic challenges head-on. Diversity is a strength. It challenges our assumptions, broadens our perspectives, and sharpens our agility. It sparks creativity by welcoming a range of voices, experiences, and insights. It is vital for the future of our organisations.

Firm commitments from all our entities

The Francis Bouygues Foundation, which honours Martin Bouygues’ longstanding commitment to equal opportunity, has been providing grants and mentorships since 2005 to outstanding students from underprivileged backgrounds. Over 1,415 students of 52 nationalities have been supported on their path to excellence.

Through its skills-based sponsorships, non-profit incubators, volunteering programmes, and end-of-career initiatives… the Bouygues Telecom Foundation shows its caring side in many different ways. Each year, 600 to 900 Bouygues Telecom employees take part in community action days — three days dedicated to collective action for the common good.

Finally, TF1 puts its media reach to work for youth empowerment. Through its foundation, TF1 supports young people from underprivileged neighbourhoods and remote rural areas, helping them transition into professional life and educating them on media literacy — a critical skill in an age of misinformation.

A shared vision, a deepened commitment

Our corporate patronage policy is steered by the Bouygues group parent company and focuses on four core areas:

  • 📚 Education,
  • 🏘️ Humanitarian housing,
  • 🧠 Health,
  • The environment.

Bouygues' patronage policy supports organisations that advance the public good, with a special focus on educational support and fighting exclusion. These themes resonate with our corporate purpose: to be useful to society and sustainably interact with local populations.

Examples of our patronage activities :

Education as a springboard:

Le Rocher Oasis des Cités provides educational and cultural activities for children and families from disadvantaged urban areas.

Health and inclusion:

In 2025, Bouygues and Handilab — an innovation hub for disability-focused tech — launched a call for start-ups developing connected prosthetics, exoskeletons, and more.

This is more than just tech innovation — it’s about empowering people. Like Jean-Christophe Rambeau, a Bouygues group Handilab ambassador, a works supervisor at Equans and Paralympic athlete. He represented France in the sitting volleyball team at the Paris 2024 Games. On a daily basis, he embodies diversity, inclusion and universality — values deeply rooted in who we are. Like top-level sport, our Group is founded on fundamental principles that transcend borders, disciplines and cultures. Sport, health, well-being, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our corporate vision and the way we operate.

Humanitarian action:

Les Enfants du Vietnam has been building schools, shelters and clinics for over 25 years

A company that cares is a company built to last

At Bouygues, we believe in a business model that blends financial performance with inclusion and social responsibility. The strength of the collective, the value of our differences, and the positive impact of people are at the heart of our vision.

Caring isn’t something you declare. It is something you live, day after day, through real, shared action. In a world that needs respect, diversity, and mutual support more than ever, we have a responsibility to give every individual — whatever their ability, background or story — the place they deserve.

Inclusion is a strategic lever for building a fairer, more human and more sustainable future. A future where differences bring out talent, and where shared commitment and the sharing of knowledge are the foundations of our collective success.

It’s this living, caring spirit that makes our teams proud, and guides us towards the future.

La Fabrique Culturelle - a cultural programme for schools - Bouygues Construction

Yeah, solidarity's cool. Bouygues doing stuff is alright, I guess.

Yes, one of my favorite companies in the world. Worked with them in the 1990s then became a Senior Advisor to China State Construction on climate change concerns as a way forward, consistent with values of Bouygues's CEO. my key book on such was from 1979, then republished in 2019. Recent book was on a video in Times Square NYC on July 4th and 5th. Thank you Bouygues. Please keep it up. We need you and your values.

Well done but my experience from Equans is far from helpful especially from a health and safety point of view
