- The Foundation's executive director, Dr. David Yang, will moderate a panel on ‘Safe Mobility’ for the 2022 ASCE International Conference on Transportation & Development (ICTD). This plenary session will be held Thursday, June 2nd in Seattle. Dr. Yang will moderate this session with three panelists, Jeffrey P. Michael of Johns Hopkins University, King W. Gee of AASHTO, and Holland Broce of Aurora Innovation. The recent surge in roadway fatalities is alarming. This panel of internationally recognized experts will share their perspectives on roadway safety, one of the most critical aspects of transportation, in this plenary session. As we continue to develop and deploy road infrastructure and vehicle technologies to improve transportation mobility, it is paramount these advancements will help to ensure transportation users can travel from point A to point B safely.
