High-speed joining technology delivers precise force measurements
The Swiss measurement technology specialist Kistler has combined the high dynamics of linear direct drives with the precision of piezoelectric force and acceleration sensors, to create a system that provides precise joining at high speeds. It says that its patent-pending NCFQ 2166A joining system fills a gap in the market where high quality and production speeds are needed – such as manufacturing of medical and electronic products, and semiconductors.
PULS Power to showcase innovations in four technology areas at SPS 2025
PULS, a market leader in power conversion technology, is celebrating its return to trade fairs at SPS from November 25–27 in Nuremberg. For the first time in many years, the premium supplier will be back on site in Hall 10, Booth 340, showcasing a number of cutting-edge innovations in industrial power supply technologies that drive efficiency and reliability in industrial automation.
Aircraft deliveries hit highest August total since 2018
Commercial aircraft manufacturers delivered 118 aircraft in August 2025, reporting a near one third increase compared to August 2024. According to ADS, this marks the highest number of aircraft deliveries for the month of August since 2018. Data from the trade association for the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space industries also finds that 125 commercial aircraft orders were placed during August 2025, an 84% increase compared to the same month last year.
How BEAS Helped Thomas Howse Business Cut Costs and Carbon
Manufacturer Thomas Howse is taking steps to reduce energy costs and improve its green credentials after receiving a free assessment from the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) run by the Business Growth West Midlands (BGWM). The business received a review of key areas of its operation and premises together with expert advice on ways in which the management could reduce their energy usage. Thomas Howse received expert recommendations which could potentially unlock annual financial savings totalling £18,152 and the removal of 22.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent greenhouse gas emissions per year.
