Giving back to our communities

Green Mountain Energy Sun Club partnered with Cancer Bridges in July to reduce utility costs with solar energy. A $116,000 sustainability grant from Sun Club went toward a 46 kW solar array system that’s predicted to save the organization $6,000 in its first year. These savings will allow Cancer Bridges to allocate additional resources to support individuals and families affected by cancer.

During our 18th annual positiveNRG Impact Week, thousands of employees across the United States and Canada came together in support of Meals for Millions, an NRG campaign focused on helping fight hunger in our communities.

We partnered with regional food banks and hunger-focused nonprofits, including the Houston Food Bank, Food Bank Network of Somerset County, Kids’ Meals, Granite Education Foundation, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and local organizations across more than 40 communities. We’re proud to report that our employees packed and delivered more than two million meals to our neighbors in need.
