  • The Trump administration has sharply cut tax credits for renewable energy, while it adds to longstanding subsidies for fossil fuels, NY Times.

  • The European Commission unveiled a series of pieces of scheduled legislation slated for delay through “de‑prioritization,” including the adoption of European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) for companies outside of the EU under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, ESG Today.
  • The California Air Resources Board (CARB) revealed that it will push off the initial rulemaking for the new climate reporting regulation until Q1 2026. The delay is being made in light of the large volume of public comments on recently issued resources related to the new regulations and “ongoing input related to identifying the range of covered entities, ESG Today.
