Southern and Appalachian State Listening Sessions
KHA Inc partnered with the Robert Johnson Foundation to learn about factors that hinder A Culture of Health in seven states in the South and Appalachia. These states have a strong faith-based and nonprofit sector coupled with deeply entrenched structural racism, high rates of poverty, high rates of chronic and preventable disease, poor health outcomes, and competition among states for sparse funds.
Learn more about each state: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
