Momentum Technologies Achieved Commercial-Scale Processing of Rare Earth Elements
We’re excited to share a major milestone from our portfolio company Momentum Technologies, which announced the commercial-scale processing of rare earth element (REE) waste at its demonstration plant in Carrollton, Texas.
Using its proprietary MSX platform, Momentum is unlocking critical materials like neodymium, praseodymium, and dysprosium from domestic REE waste streams—advancing a scalable, U.S.-based solution to supply chain vulnerabilities in clean energy, defense, and high-tech manufacturing.
With the U.S. still heavily reliant on imports for these essential elements, this milestone underscores Momentum’s potential to play a central role in reshoring and modernizing critical mineral refining.

Frontier Announces Partnership with Mangrove Systems on Project Sprint
Frontier Infrastructure Holdings recently announced a partnership with Mangrove Systems on Project Sprint - one of North America’s first large-scale BECCS projects.
Project Sprint is pioneering a new model for carbon management: transporting captured CO₂ by rail to the Granger Carbon Terminal in Wyoming, where it will be permanently stored in Class VI wells at the Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub, with a Phase I capacity of 500,000 tonnes annually.
Mangrove will be providing the dMRV foundation - a digital system of record that delivers real-time traceability from biomass sourcing through permanent storage.
This is the type of collaboration that moves the industry forward: innovation in capture and transport paired with trustworthy, automated dMRV to turn removals into credits with confidence.
Blue Tide Celebrates Six Months of its Baytown Re-Refinery
The Baytown facility has been fully operational for six months — a major milestone for Blue Tide and its circular refining model.
Strategically located on the Houston Ship Channel, the 44-acre site includes 220,000 barrels of on-site storage, direct access to barge, rail, and truck transport, and processing of up to 5,000+ barrels of used motor oil per day. Baytown was built to set a new standard in re-refining. We are proud of the progress so far and excited for what the next six months will bring.
