TEI Has Been Recognized as the "Supplier of the Year"
TEI, Türkiye's leading company in aviation engines, has been honored with the "Supplier of the Year" award by GE Aerospace, one of the world's primary aviation engine manufacturers, at the 2025 Supplier Symposium held in Cincinnati. Achievement in maintaining high-quality standards, engineering capability, and on-time delivery within the global aviation ecosystem, TEI has once again been recognized with this prestigious award.
This is TEI's third-best supplier award in the last 10 years. TEI was previously recognized as the "Best Supplier" by GE Aerospace, SAFRAN, and CFM International in Paris in 2017 and Shanghai in 2018.
TEI is the world's largest supplier of the world's most widely preferred civil aviation engine programs, including LEAP, GEnx, and GE9X, as part of over 40 years of cooperation with GE Aerospace. It is also one of the key suppliers for the CFM RISE engine program, which focuses on sustainability in aviation engines.
Today, TEI plays a strategic role in the global aviation industry's critical supply chain by producing over 2,000 parts and modules for more than 50 civil and military engine programs. Apart from aviation engines, TEI significantly contributes to manufacturing gas turbine engines for naval and industrial applications and stands as the world's largest supplier of the LM9000 gas turbine.
Alongside its manufacturing activities, TEI plays a key role in the global aviation industry through its indigenous aviation engine development projects and maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. Contributing to Türkiye's national aviation goals through more than 10 national and indigenous engine projects developed under the auspices of the Secretariat of Defence Industries, TEI aims to continue growing in domestic and international markets while establishing new collaborations in the coming years.

The Second Season of TEI Aviation Mechanic School Has Commenced
TEI, Türkiye's leading company in aviation engines, continues its support for education at all levels, from pre-school to graduate studies. The second season of TEI's Aviation Mechanic School, which was first launched last year for vocational high school students, has begun with an opening lecture by Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, CEO of TEI.
The inaugural lecture of TEI's Aviation Mechanic School, held under the auspices of the Governorship of Eskişehir and in coordination with the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Eskişehir, was delivered with the participation of Yakup Güney, Deputy Governor of Eskisehir, and Sinan Aydın, Provincial Director of National Education in Eskişehir. Speaking at the event, Sinan Aydın, Provincial Director of National Education in Eskişehir, highlighted the significance of vocational education and expressed his gratitude to TEI for its contributions in this field.
During the first lesson, "TEI 101", Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, CEO of TEI, emphasized the importance of domestic and national defense industry technologies while sharing TEI's activities and Türkiye's journey in developing national aviation engines with the participants.
TEI's 11-week Aviation Mechanic School offers mechanic courses on manufacturing for the aviation and defense industries. By celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, TEI aims to enhance the technical knowledge and skills of vocational high school students in the industry and contribute to employment in Eskişehir through this initiative.
TEI Celebrated Women of Aviation Worldwide Week with Special Events
As part of Women of Aviation Worldwide Week, TEI organized the "Strong Women of Aviation" program to celebrate hundreds of TEI's female employees working at the Source of Power and came together with students to introduce the aviation and defense industry to middle and high school female students.
Women of Aviation Worldwide Week is celebrated every year to commemorate the date of the world's first female pilot's license. As every year, TEI spent this week with a busy schedule of events. TEI carries out many social responsibility projects to increase the employment of women in Türkiye's aviation industry and sheds light on the female engineers and technicians of the future.
TEI came together with 500 female students, and events within the scope of social responsibility activities were carried out in coordination with Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of National Education. In the first event, TEI visited 400 female students at Melahat Ünügür Secondary School. During the presentations, career opportunities in the aviation industry and TEI's achievements were explained, and gift packages specially prepared for female students were presented to the students. In addition to the middle school visit, TEI also hosted high school students at its facilities and organized a facility tour and presentation for 100 female students from 4 different high schools in Eskişehir.
TEI women employees came together at the "Strong Women of Aviation" event. Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, the CEO of TEI, gave a speech at the special event. Speaking at the event, Akşit congratulated employees on the Women of Aviation Worldwide Week and Women's Day. In order to support the women affected by the earthquake, the bags, which are prepared through the products purchased from the earthquake area, have been provided as gifts to the female employees.
The iftar meal program, the last event of Women of Aviation Worldwide Week was held with the presence of Prof. Ayşen Gürcan, 63rd Government Minister of Family and Social Policies, and the participation of TEI women employees. Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, the CEO of TEI, and TEI executives also attended the iftar meal program. Speaking at the event, Gürcan congratulated the participants on Women's Day and thanked TEI management for the iftar meal program. She also answered the questions of TEI employees and answered questions about her career.
TEI has been selected as the "Most Female Friendly Corporation Worldwide" by the Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide for the 8th times with the activities that it has carried out in the previous years and the practices that it has implemented for its female employees.
TEI will continue its efforts to increase female employment in the aviation industry.
TEKNOFEST Jet Engine Design Competitors Training Completed
Preparations continue for the Turbojet Engine Combustor Design and Turbojet Engine Control Unit Design competitions organized by TEI as part of the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions.
Technical information and essential design training provided by TEI engineers to students participating in the competitions were conducted online.
