The UNC System has officially approved North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University to launch its first “Flight Path” online degree programs in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The B.S. in Criminal Justice and B.A. in Liberal Studies will be offered in partnership with Project Kitty Hawk, a UNC System affiliate that supports universities in building high-quality online programs designed for adult learners. It’s National Distance Learning Week — and an exciting time for N.C. A&T Extended Campus. I’m excited to share that Dr. Regina Williams Davis has been appointed Assistant Vice Provost for Online and Extended Learning, effective November 1. Dr. Davis steps into this new role after nearly 20 years of service to North Carolina A&T, where she has demonstrated visionary leadership, a deep commitment to student success, and a talent for bringing bold ideas to life. In her new capacity, she will serve as the chief strategist for expanding our online programs, summer sessions, and workforce-aligned continuing education opportunities. Over the past few months, she has led efforts for A&T to join Project Kitty Hawk, positioning us to launch seven accelerated degree programs by Fall 2027, and online enrollment grew by 16% for Fall 2025. Less than two weeks ago, we began accepting applications for our first two Flight Path programs—the B.S. in Criminal Justice and B.A. in Liberal Studies. And this is just the beginning. Dr. Davis has developed a bold new vision and strategic direction that will continue to drive online enrollment growth, student success, and expand opportunities for learners. #ncat #newleader #boldvision
