Neglecting your network? 3 ways I use mine to support my growth Because personal development is a team sport. Bonus tip at the end too… 1️⃣ Don’t reinvent the wheel. Whatever I’m working on, someone will have done it before me. I used to think: How can I figure this out? Now I think: Who could I ask for help or learn from? 2️⃣ Open and constructive feedback. Self-reflection is helpful, but imperfect. We all have blind spots. Getting feedback reinforces how I'm developing. Or highlights traits that are holding me back. I can get more from 15 minutes of feedback than hours of self-reflection. 3️⃣ Support, challenge, and accountability. I used to keep my goals to myself. Now I share them with a couple of trusted contacts. They provide support and challenge. Plus it makes me far more accountable. And that drives my goals forward faster. 👇 I know it can be hard to ask for help. But your network will support your development in so many ways. How do you use your network to speed up your personal development? --- 🎁 Bonus tip: There’s always someone in your network who you could help too. In personal development, transitioning from a stance of superiority to one of humility is essential for proper growth. This involves recognising that everyone deserves respect regardless of their need for structure and guidance—shifting from an 'I-know-best' attitude to a 'We-all-grow-together' mentality. During an insightful session with a client, a significant breakthrough occurred. The client shared how they initially felt above needing advice or direction, perceiving it as a sign of weakness. This conversation illuminated the importance of humility in growth. Recognising this, I guided them through embracing their vulnerabilities and seeking support, which led to a profound transformation in their approach to challenges. We opened a channel for genuine connection and shared growth by adopting humility. This transition allowed us to leverage a multitude of experiences and insights, establishing a more supportive and resilient community. As individuals committed to personal development, when transitioning from a 'better-than' to an 'alongside-you' approach, we activate a powerful synergy that propels us toward collective enlightenment and personal transformation. This journey taught me that true growth does not come from placing ourselves above others and walking with them. It's about fostering a community where every experience is respected, and every person's growth is supported. Let's challenge ourselves to cultivate humility in our daily interactions. By doing so, we can transform our personal and collective experiences into rich, fulfilling journeys of mutual development. #PersonalGrowth #HumilityInAction #LeadershipDevelopment #InclusiveMindset #CollectiveJourney #EmpatheticLeadership #BusinessCoach #CoachSharath

Does working on personal development while the world is a dumpster fire make you a jerk? 🗑️🔥 I don’t think so. Working on yourself benefits you, your family and friends, local community, and society. In other words, coaching and being coached makes the world a little better. ✨ - - - Before my son was born, I thought everything was going to sh*t. I did absolutely nothing about it because I believed there was absolutely nothing I could do. Saying “my mindset needed work” was an understatement. Having a baby gave me a serious kick in the butt. 🦵 I want my baby to grow up with deep compassion for other people, nature, and the world around us. I realized, if I want that, I need to model it. Thanks to coaching, personal development, and mindset work, I have more love, understanding, and emotional energy to give. - - - Other ways coaching helps: 💵 Encouraging people to empower themselves with more resources. In her fabulous book, We Should All Be Millionaires, Rachel Rodgers writes: “I want you to know what it feels like to solve community problems like providing for kids who can’t afford school lunch or creating a community garden by simply writing a check.” You don’t have to have enough money to pay for a community garden in full. Working on your mindset might help you have the resources to make a donation or more flexibility to volunteer your time. - - - 🌄 Giving people the courage to listen to and honor their intuition. Coaching guides people to listen to their gut, intuition, inner voice, etc. When we listen to our inner most selves, 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦. It feels GOOD to give a shit. Doing what we can to help others, even if it's small, creates meaning and fulfillment. - - - Whaddya think? When we better ourselves are we better able to help other people? - - - #humanity #community #coaches
