You only need 5 simple email flows to run a 7 figure digital product empire: 🔸 Lead magnet nurture flow 🔸 Post-lead magnet sales flow 🔸 Abandoned cart follow-up flow 🔸 Evergreen nurture newsletter flow 🔸 New paid customer onboarding flow Let’s break them down: 1️⃣ Lead magnet nurture flow The goal of this flow is to keep nurturing your subscribers after they’ve downloaded your lead magnet. That way, you can increase the odds they actually: • Consume it • Get value from it • Keep opening your emails • And eventually become paying customers Usually, I recommend including 3-5 emails as part of this flow. Some themes that tend to work well: • Your personal backstory • Common mistakes in your niche • Additional resources they can find helpful • Success stories from other clients/students 2️⃣ Post-lead magnet sales flow The goal of this flow is to try to convert your most engaged subscribers into paying customers. (Once you’ve nurtured them & provided a ton of value for a few days in a row.) For this flow, I usually recommend sending 3-5 emails too. But the big variable here is the price point of your paid offer. The more expensive your product, the more emails you might need to send. 3️⃣ Abandoned cart follow-up flow The goal of this flow is to maximize the number of people who buy from your post-lead magnet sales sequence. How? By sending a series of follow up emails (typically 1-3 emails) to your warmest leads. Now, how do you know who those people are? By tracking clicks! Usually, I only send these follow-up emails to anyone who: • Has clicked at least twice on any of my sales email links • And hasn’t bought the product yet (And yes, you can automate things so all of this happens on autopilot!) 4️⃣ Evergreen nurture newsletter flow No matter how solid your lead magnet or sales emails are… Most people won’t but after those initial 10-15 emails. That’s why you need this flow. The goal here is to keep nurturing & building trust with people who don’t buy right away until they: • Either buy your paid product • Or unsubscribe from your list Which basically means, this sequence will have infinite emails—and it will run forever. The only caveat: Every 60-90 days, you can: • Momentarily remove folks from this flow • Run a 5-7 day one-off campaign This is a great way to convert people on the fence who might need a last push. 5️⃣ New paid customer onboarding flow The goal of this flow is to: • Onboard your new paid customers • Check in with them so they stay engaged • And keep nurturing them so they’re more likely to be successful Now, why does this matter? “Oh no, not another post about abandoned cart flows…” Hear me out We changed the way we structure the flow for our 7 and 8-figure DTC clients, And let me just say, the numbers are looking incredible Let me break it down for you all Email#1: Cart Reminder So your customer went through all the trouble of browsing through your products, selecting one for their cart, and then poof! They’re gone…… Don’t just assume they didn’t want the product. Life gets busy, maybe they got a phone call at that exact moment or their laptop died. Regardless, make sure you’re sending them a reminder that they have something in their cart and that your product is worth buying. You’ll be surprised at how many people may have forgotten. Email#2: Social Proof + Reviews 89% of consumers say that they thoroughly look through reviews before buying something. And 49% of consumers consider positive reviews one of their top three influences for purchasing a product. Add reviews, and showcase influencers vouching for your product. Your customers are much more likely to purchase after they've seen someone they trust recommending and raving about it. Email#3: Can we help you out or have any questions?: Discount + Cart Reminder Sometimes, customers abandon carts because they’re straight up confused. This email is your chance to fix it. Reach out and ask if there’s anything you can help with – maybe they’re unsure about a product feature or have a question about shipping. Offer reassurance and even a discount to showcase how important of a customer they are to you. Email#4: Plain Text Reminder + Discount Reminder (48 Hours left) “Hey there, just a quick reminder – your discount is still waiting for you, but only for the next 48 hours!” No fancy graphics, just a heads-up. Simple and direct is key to creating a sense of urgency with a plain text format. The 48-hour countdown instills a bit of FOMO which everyone responds quickly to. Email#5: Final Day to utilize your discount + cart reminder (Reviews, FAQs etc... on bottom) This final email should pull out all the stops. Emphasize the urgency of the last day to use the discount and include additional reviews and FAQs to clear any remaining doubts. It’s the last push to reel your customer back in for that purchase. We live in a very attention-stealing, over-stimulating world. A lot of the time, a customer is browsing your shop while handling five different things at once. An abandoned cart isn’t the end all be all. Just use this email sequence and watch your customers run back to their cart for your products.

Send a welcome email with a discount (if applicable), follow up with what makes your brand different, and share valuable content. 2/ Abandoned Checkout – If someone starts checkout but doesn’t buy, send a reminder, follow up with social proof, offer a last-chance discount, & address any objections with a “How can we help?” email. 3/ Abandoned Cart – They added to cart but didn’t start checkout, so remind them, use testimonials for trust, & instead of a direct discount, try “Your cart price just dropped” to grab attention. 4/ Abandoned Browse – If someone viewed a product but didn’t add to cart, nudge them back with a “Still thinking about it?” email, highlight what makes your product better, & offer an exclusive incentive if needed. 5/ Abandoned Site – If they browsed but didn’t engage, send them helpful content, social proof, or a small incentive to get them deeper into your funnel. 6/ Cross-Sell Flow – After purchase, recommend a complementary product, educate them on how to maximize their purchase, & position the next buy as the natural next step. 7/ Back-in-Stock Flow – Capture emails for sold-out products, offer alternatives while they wait, & when the item is restocked, create urgency by reminding them it sold out before. 8/ Post-Purchase Flow – Thank them for buying, send setup guides or product tips, follow up with a note from the founder, & open a direct line for support to build trust for repeat sales. 9/ Replenishment Flow – If you sell consumables, remind customers when they’re running low, offer a subscription for convenience, & make reordering a one-click process. 10/ Winback Flow – If someone hasn’t purchased in 90+ days, remind them of what they’re missing, update them on new products, & offer a one-time incentive to bring them back. 11/ Sunset Flow – For inactive subscribers, send a “We miss you” email, show them what’s new, & ask if they still want to hear from you before removing them. 12/ Review Request Flow – Ask for a review 30 days after purchase, offer an incentive like store credit or a discount, & follow up if they don’t respond. 13/ First Purchase Anniversary – Celebrate their 1-year mark with a thank-you email, a small gift or discount, & an opportunity to re-engage. 14/ Subscription Upsell Flow – Encourage customers to subscribe by highlighting convenience, cost savings, & making the upgrade process seamless. 15/ Predicted Next Purchase Flow – Use data to predict when someone is likely to buy again, send a reminder at the right time, & make the purchase as effortless as possible.
