I recently worked with a client in the engineering sector - an organisation doing complex, high-value work led by some of the smartest people I have meet. While their company LinkedIn page was active and well-branded, their technical experts were practically invisible online. No thought leadership. No insights. No signs of the incredible work being done behind the scenes. In organisations driven by engineers, scientists, technologists, analysts, and other deep subject-matter experts - the strength of your brand is tied to the expertise inside the business. But too often, that expertise is locked in internal meetings, reports, or project files. When prospective clients, partners, or even future employees are doing their research they’re not just looking at your website or your company page. 👩💻 They’re searching the names behind the brand. In this case, none of the engineers had updated LinkedIn profiles. Most of them still had CV-style summaries from their graduate roles. Their networks were small, mostly internal or peers from university. And they weren’t sharing anything publicly, despite working on major national projects and presenting at conferences. The company knew their people were their biggest asset, but their digital presence didn’t reflect it. Here is what we did: ✅ Profile - We started by rewriting LinkedIn profiles for the leadership team and senior engineers. The goal was to translate what they were doing into something more accessible and credible for people outside their world. ✅ Content - This isn't about posting every day or doing video, it's about showing what they are already doing. We supported them to: ➡️ Share one-paragraph reflections after speaking at events or conferences ➡️ Break down why a specific approach or methodology was used in a project ➡️ Add context to industry news or innovations and link back to their real-world experience ➡️Comment meaningfully on relevant conversations happening in their field ✅ Connection: Finally, we helped them to expand their networks. Most had connections limited to their immediate teams or university classmates. We helped them connect intentionally. As a result, the business’s credibility increased. Not just through a logo but through the people delivering the work. 💬 Technical experts don’t need to become influencers or marketers. They don't need to post daily. They don't need to create videos. But they do need to show up with clarity and credibility. If your team of engineers, technologists, analysts, and other deep subject-matter experts are still invisible on LinkedIn, I’d love to help bring their expertise forward because in today's digital-first world, being findable and understood is part of being trusted. #linkedin #tech #marketing

A client recently told me, “We’ve been doing the same thing for years, but something feels off now.” And they were right. When your profile doesn’t evolve with the market, everything slows down. Engagement. Leads. Conversions. We made a few key changes to their LinkedIn presence. Rewrote the headline to speak directly to their audience, turned the About section into a story, and added one powerful testimonial. The result? Engagement up 35 percent, leads doubled, and they closed their biggest deal yet. It’s a strategy I’ve developed to turn genuine relationships into real results. I call this the Connection-to-Conversion Method. Here’s what we did, and what you can try too: 🔸 Use Your Headline Like a Hook, Not a Job Title • People scroll fast. Your headline should tell them exactly how you help, not what your position is. • A strong headline speaks directly to your ideal client’s pain or aspiration. Why This Helps: Your profile becomes searchable, clickable, and instantly relevant. 🔸 Ditch the Bio. Write a Story Instead. • A punchy “About” section that walks people through your journey builds instant trust. • Use it to share how you solve problems, not just your background. Why This Helps: You become memorable—not just another LinkedIn consultant. 🔸 Pin a Client Testimonial or Case Study • Social proof builds instant credibility. People trust results more than promises. • Bonus tip: Don’t just name-drop clients, showcase the transformation they experienced to make it memorable. Why This Helps: Future clients can imagine themselves getting the same results. 🔸 Optimize for SEO Without Sounding Robotic • Sprinkle in keywords your ideal clients are actually searching for, but make it sound natural, not forced. • Think phrases like “lead generation for coaches” or “sales funnel strategist for B2B” that speak directly to what they need. Why This Helps: You show up in the right searches without killing your voice. 🔸 Use Your Banner Space Like a Billboard • Visuals sell fast. Use them to reinforce your offer, method, or results. • Add a short tagline, strong CTA, or a simple 3-step process so people know exactly what to do next. Why This Helps: First impressions stick—make yours work for you. 🔸 Make Your CTA Clear and Clickable • Add something actionable like your Calendly link, a freebie, or “DM me for a free audit” to drive engagement. • Skip passive closes like “Let’s connect. Make it clear what the next step is. Why This Helps: People need direction. Make it easy for them to take the next step. B2B should feel personal. With the right profile, you’re not just getting seen, you’re starting conversations that lead to clients. That’s the power of the Connection-to-Conversion Method. ⸻ ♻️ REPOST if this resonated with you! ➡️ FOLLOW Rheanne Razo for more B2B growth strategies, client success, and real-world business insights.

Helping Lawyers Build Profitable, Sustainable Practices Without the Burnout | Former BigLaw Partner | Built a $2.5MM+ Book | Lawyer Business & Leadership Coach

He wasn’t convinced that being active on LinkedIn would be helpful. 30 days later? Strategic LinkedIn networking brought in 2 new clients (estimated to be worth more than $100k in legal fees). The backstory: ⇒ Litigation partner in a mid-sized law firm. ⇒ Skeptical that LinkedIn could be used to network for business. ⇒ No time for writing or doing traditional “thought leadership”. Despite his doubts, he was willing to give LinkedIn a try. We put a simple strategic LI networking plan together that felt doable for him. Here it is: 1️⃣Identify (& then connect with/follow) 6-10 relevant people. These folks must: ✓ Be active on LinkedIn. ✓ Post about issues relevant to your ideal clients. And no, they don’t need to be competitors or attorneys (but they CAN be - don’t be afraid to follow and engage with those folks!). 2️⃣Set aside 15 minutes per day to review their posts and strategically comment (on any that are relevant to your audience). When commenting, don’t say “great post” or “thanks for sharing”. Instead, add value by: >>> Validating their point with specifics. >>> Adding a new perspective or insight. >>> Asking a question to deepen the discussion. 3️⃣Connect with people you engage with. LinkedIn is a networking tool. Use it that way! Any time someone you aren’t already connected to likes one of your comments or (even better) engages with it, reach out to them to connect. And then, DM them to say “hello” and take the discussion (already started in the comments) further. Yes, that's it. Here’s why this simple formula is so effective: ⏩ It's an easy way to showcase your point of view (and way of lawyering/thinking), which attracts better-fit people into your LI universe. ⏩ It shows your credibility and expertise (in a service-based, non-salesy way). By doing something that takes little time. ⏩ It builds authentic relationships. With people you probably wouldn’t meet in person. Stop thinking of LinkedIn purely as social media. Use it as the networking tool (it actually is). Now, the elephant in the room…Posting your own content. Yes, this will help. But it’s not necessary. If you don’t have the time right now (or are a bit shy about putting your own posts/articles out there), this is a great strategy to lead with. Ready to get started (now)? Do this: 1. Find 1 thought leader in your niche. 2. Make a thoughtful, strategic comment to one of their recent posts. 3. Connect with anyone who likes or engages with your comment. XO, Heather ~~~ P.S. Season 5 of Life & Law podcast is BACK. And this is exactly what we’re covering today. The truth behind building trust on LinkedIn. (It’s not what you think) Let’s face it, LinkedIn can feel like a never-ending networking event where everyone’s handing out business cards and shouting, “Look at me!” Yet the secret sauce to standing out is trust. And trust isn’t built overnight. It’s not built with flashy headlines or a perfectly curated profile pic (though, that headshot does matter). Trust is built through consistency, transparency, and relatability. Here’s how: 1️⃣ Credibility = Showing Up Regularly Posting once a month and expecting results is like going to the gym once and wondering why you’re not getting ripped. According to LinkedIn, creators who post weekly see 2x the engagement of those who post sporadically. The lesson here thus is being the person who shows up - not just when you need something, but when you have something to give. 2️⃣ Loyalty = Transparency About Wins AND Losses Nobody trusts the person who’s always winning. (Honestly, it’s kind of annoying.) What builds real connection is sharing the messy middle - the failures, the lessons, the “I have no idea what I’m doing” moments. A study by Edelman found that 81% of people say trust is a deal-breaker in whether they engage with a brand or individual. Be human, not a highlight reel. 3️⃣ Engagement = Relatable, Not Sales-y Content The hard truth is that no one logs onto LinkedIn thinking, “I can’t wait to be sold to today.” What works is content that feels like a conversation, not a pitch. Think less “Buy my thing!” and more “Here’s how I can help.” According to HubSpot, educational posts get the most engagement because they’re useful, not pushy. At its core, building trust on LinkedIn is about being genuine. When you write a post, don’t try to sound like someone else. Be your authentic self - quirks, dad jokes, and all. So, my challenge to you this week is to show up consistently, share something real, and write like you’re talking to a friend. Because trust isn’t built in a day, but it’s worth every post.

Helping founders craft compelling stories and build a strong LinkedIn community. DM me 'BRAND'

I hit 130K followers on LinkedIn. And here’s what it actually gave me: → A full-time income → A coaching program that sells out via inbound → A marketing agency that never relied on cold pitching → And a network of people who’ve helped me grow faster than any course ever could This platform didn’t just change how I show up. It changed my life. So, if you’re serious about growing your LinkedIn and turning followers into opportunities, here are 9 things that actually worked for me: 1. LinkedIn is not your weekend hobby. Casual posting = casual results. I show up with intent every week like clockwork. Would you show up to a client call unprepared? No right. Then why treat LinkedIn any different? 2.  Show up authentically.  I showed  up as me. Wins, lessons, failures, I shared them all. Because trust doesn’t come from perfection. It comes from honesty. 3. Conversations > Content. One post won’t change your life. But one DM might. One thoughtful comment can. I prioritized talking to people, not talking at people. 4. Optimise your profile  If it doesn’t scream “I can solve your problem”, you’re losing opportunities. Your Bio, banner, featured section everything should clearly state what you do and who you help. 5. Build Social proof.  As it builds credibility. Client results, testimonials, collaborations , tell your audience: “I’ve done this before. I can do it for you too.” 6. Relevance > Virality. One viral post won’t make that much of a difference but 100 valuable posts will. I create content that serves my audience. That’s what keeps opportunities coming. 7. Build a content strategy: Top-of-funnel posts (reach) Authority posts (trust) Conversion posts (leads) 8. LinkedIn rewards patience. Everyone loves overnight success stories. But real growth is painfully slow until it suddenly isn’t. I stayed when others quit. That’s why I’m here. 9. Investing in learning changed my game. Free content is great, but it’ll only take you so far. Courses, mentors, coaching I invested in it. That’s why I don’t have to “figure it out” from scratch every time. If you’re just getting started on LinkedIn and don’t know where to begin, I’ve got you. I made a free playlist breaking down the basics of cold DM’s, content and linkedin algorithm (the stuff I wish someone told me earlier). It’s pinned in the comments.

“𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻?” 𝗔 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸. Because I’ve been there. I remember when my content was a mess - random topics, no strategy, zero traction. But once I figured out what actually works, things exploded. Here’s exactly how I turned it around, 5 simple steps that helped me grow fast and build credibility: 𝟭. 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝘁 I used to talk about everything. That got me nowhere. Once I doubled down on personal branding and social media strategy, my audience knew exactly why to follow me. 𝟮. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 People crave practical value. When I shifted to actionable LinkedIn tips and how-tos, the engagement skyrocketed. Help people solve problems, that’s how you earn trust. 𝟯. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 Data is cool, but stories connect. The moment I started sharing my own wins, fails, and lessons learned, people paid attention. Realness > Perfection. 𝟰. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰 Vague content attracts vague followers. I started tailoring my content specifically to my ideal clients. Result? More DMs. Better conversations. Right-fit leads. 𝟱. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 Consistency is underrated. I built a content calendar and stuck to it, rain or shine. Regular posts kept me visible, credible, and top-of-mind. 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗽: Be human Comment. Collaborate. Start conversations. Being an authority isn’t about shouting louder, it’s about building relationships that last. Becoming an authority takes time, but if you stay focused, add value, and show up consistently, the results will come. What’s your biggest challenge on LinkedIn right now? No Recommendations on LinkedIn? Here’s How I Changed That! I remember when I first set up my LinkedIn profile. I had no recommendations or testimonials, but I had just started my business and was ready to start connecting and getting to know others on the platform. But my credibility was key. I wanted to share testimonials and case studies of people I had helped on social media. I wanted to showcase the results we’d achieved! So, I went on a mission. Here’s what we did to build up my recommendations: ONE ↳ Make a List: We went back over the last six months of clients and projects we had worked on. This can be pulled from your CRM or invoicing software, whatever system you use to track clients. TWO ↳ Connect on LinkedIn: We connected with them on LinkedIn, adding a personalised note with the invite, saying how great it had been to work with them. THREE ↳ Engage with their posts: Before sending the recommendation request, we started engaging with their posts, showing support and staying visible. FOUR ↳ Sent a Recommendation request: After some engagement, we sent a friendly recommendation request, asking them if they’d be happy to share their experience of working with us. FIVE ↳ Make it visible: Once the recommendations came in, we displayed them on my profile and created content to share on other platforms too! And guess what? It works! Gaining recommendations is a fantastic way to build credibility and thought leadership on LinkedIn. Not only do we showcase these testimonials on my profile, but we also use them in proposals to potential clients. The best part? Potential clients can see exactly who the recommendation is from, view their profile, and even reach out to them if they wish. Do you have recommendations on your LinkedIn profile? Or are you ready to implement the above strategy? Now, every time we work with someone, we always connect via LinkedIn and send a recommendation request shortly after. Build your reviews, showcase your value, and strengthen your credibility! To your successes, Zoe ____________ Loved this post? 💜 Then my free newsletter is for you! get one powerful tip every week to elevate your speaking career and establish yourself as a thought leader. Navigating today’s job market has been challenging for many of us in search of new opportunities. If you had spoken to me a few weeks ago, I would have told you I was feeling nervous, impatient, and doubtful—constantly wracking my brain for ways to better showcase my skills and experience. Like all of you, I’ve stuck with it, and I’ve learned something important: the market isn’t dead—it’s just different. Gone are the days when submitting applications on CareerBuilder or LinkedIn consistently led to multiple first-round interviews each week. The truth is, the job market has shifted, and success today hinges on one thing—networking! Networking has become the cornerstone of job searching in 2025—it’s about building genuine relationships, engaging in meaningful conversations, and positioning yourself within the right circles. Employers are prioritizing referrals and connections over cold applications, relying on trusted networks to find top talent. So, what should we be doing to ?? ♥️ Build Genuine Relationships: Focus on forming real connections rather than just collecting contacts. Networking is about trust and mutual value. ♥️ Engage Consistently: Stay active in your network—comment on posts, share insights, and participate in discussions to maintain visibility. ♥️ Offer Value First: Instead of only asking for help, ask how you can provide support, insights, or introductions that benefit others. ♥️ Be Strategic with Connections: Identify key individuals in your industry and reach out with thoughtful messages that show interest in their work. ♥️ Leverage Multiple Channels: Use LinkedIn, professional events, conferences, and community groups to expand your network. ♥️ Follow Up and Stay in Touch: Keep relationships warm by checking in from time-to-time, sharing relevant content, or offering support. ♥️ Develop a Strong Personal Brand: Showcase your expertise through LinkedIn posts, articles, or speaking engagements to position yourself as a valuable connection. ♥️ Be Open to Informal Conversations: Casual coffee chats or virtual meetings can lead to unexpected opportunities and deeper connections. ♥️ Establish credibility among peers and hiring managers. Recruiters and leaders want to hire people they trust, and networking fosters that trust. If you're looking to expand your connections and uncover new possibilities, I’d love to connect on LinkedIn! Let’s build a network that supports and uplifts each other—feel free to reach out, share insights, and open the conversation. You never know where one connection might lead! 🚀 #NavigatingTheMarket #Networking #BuildingConnections #BuildYourSupportNetwork #PersonalBrand #IntroducingAliciasPersonalBrand #Insights #Conversations #HotJobs #ConnectWithMeToday

Still think a killer resume will be the only thing that gets you seen? Let me gently shake that idea loose. On nearly every strategy call with senior leaders and execs I hear the same thing: “I’ve done the work. I have the track record. Why am I not getting traction?” And I get it. Why? Because qualified is no longer the golden ticket. (And nope - it’s not your resume’s fault.) Here’s what’s really going on: Roles are filled before they're ever listed. Visibility is the new currency. Authority is your new advantage. If your name isn’t in rooms you’re not in… You’re not being considered Even if you’re perfect for the role. So, what do you do when being “good” isn’t good enough? You build authority. And here’s what to start doing today: Build your brand and authority on LinkedIn. Post like a pro: ➝Share how you think, not just what you’ve done. Show your receipts: ➝Tell stories. Drop lessons. Spark conversation. Optimise your profile: ➝Treat it like your digital shopfront / digital handshake. Update your headline: ➝Make it searchable and scroll-stopping. Feature your work: ➝Posts and articles showing credibility and character (pov). Comment like a leader: ➝Your name shows up where you engage. Your audience needs to see you, hear you, trust you. You’re not invisible because you’re unqualified. It’s noisy out there. So let’s make this simple: You’re already the expert Build the trust Make your expertise visible So that the right people Can find you and choose you Let’s do this. What’s one way you’re building authority this month? PS I have a free Notion LinkedIn Playbook you can download, check the comments! ♻️ Share this to help others build their visibility & authority
