On Friday, 1 August 2025, G7 visited Spes Bona High School in Hazendal, Cape Town, for a Career Day. As is often the case when spending time with young people who are curious and eager to learn, the experience ends up being just as rewarding for you, if not more so. For some reason, the hall full of learners cheered enthusiastically when our CEO, Kilian Hagemann, went on stage, as if he were a famous celebrity! Kilian reminded them that they are the future of our country, spoke about climate change and renewable energy, and afterwards, our team was swamped by energetic young people asking so many questions. The LEGO wind turbine might have had something to do with it! The school’s motto is “Prudens Futuri” – “Be mindful of the future”, or “Wisdom for the future”, which we feel perfectly captures our engagement with these promising learners. Maybe one day, we’ll be able to welcome some of them to G7! #youth #futuretalent #careers #renewableenergy
