Last week, it was a pleasure to host Dylan Thomson from Garmin Marine, who trained our electrical and management teams in Garmin’s latest integration of Navionics, smart boat digital switching, applications, and Fusion Audio high-fidelity systems. This image captured two majestic elements – a magical sunrise, and equally breathtaking, a Phoenix-built sailing catamaran. Looking back to when the most beautiful sunrise greeted us in the Port of Cape Town as we launched yet another Phoenix catamaran. Image captured by our commissioning team’s Lourens Obermeyer. #flashbackfriday #boatlaunch #phoenixmarinemanufacturing #sailingcatamaran #sunrise

Sometimes the work we love offers a view to match. A typical launch morning in the port of Cape Town — dramatic skies, a flawless Phoenix Catamaran, and the energy of our commissioning team in full swing. With our partners at Sparcraft Masts Masts , we stepped the rig and commissioned another beauty to begin her journey. #boatlaunch #rigstepping #SparcraftMasts #YachtRigging #sailingcatamaran #phoenixmarine

Pleasure to be involved with ASEZ
The Atlantis Special Economic Zone hosted University of Cape Town Masters students from the African Centre for Cities for an informative visit to the Atlantis Industrial Area. The students received a comprehensive overview of the ASEZCo from Joyce Modipa, followed by a Q&A session. Remarks from the City of Cape Town’s Ward Councillor, Cllr Moosa, on the ASEZ’s role in local development further enriched the discussions. The programme also included a site visit to Phoenix Marine Manufacturing, where students explored local green manufacturing efforts, and a tour of Zone 1 to understand the spatial dynamics of the area. Thank you to our Infrastructure & IES unit, Joyce Modipa, Cllr Moosa, Denzil Julies from Phoenix Marine, and Liza Cirolia for facilitating insightful discussions and making the engagement a success. The students were enthusiastic and keen to understand our context, contributing to a valuable knowledge exchange. Michael Webster Michael Pienaar Michael Ndiwalana
