As Justice Desk Africa We REJECT the Minister of Trade and Industry’s proposal to escalate student debts to credit bureaus! This is punishment for poverty targeting unemployed graduates and trapping young people in cycles of debt. Education is a right, not a commodity to be sold or weaponized against the youth! Marxist truth, Education should liberate, not enslave. This proposal shows how the system exploits young people while maintaining power for the few. We also condemn the silence of the Minister of Education. Silence in the face of injustice is complicity! We call for free decolonial education Education is not a debt, it’s a right! Stand with young people. Resist the commodification of education! #JusticeDeskAfrica #StudentDebt #EducationIsARight #YouthPower #EndDebtSlavery #FreeEducationNow #StopExploitingYouth

Child Protection Week is here, and it’s a powerful reminder that every child deserves to grow up safe, loved, and protected 💚 In South Africa, too many children still face abuse, neglect, and exploitation. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Together, we can change the story. This week, wear a green ribbon, speak up, and take action. Whether you’re a teacher, parent, friend, or neighbour, protecting children is everyone’s responsibility. Let’s protect the rights of every child, every day. #ChildProtectionWeek #JusticeDeskAfrica #ProtectOurChildren #EverydayActivism #ChildRights #StopAbuse

Dominican School for Deaf Children Anti-Bullying Training 🤟🏾 Our Youth Ambassador team recently spent time with the incredible learners at Dominican School for an interactive anti-bullying training. Together, we unpacked the types of bullying, explored root causes, discussed consequences, and shared ways to stand up and speak out. We always love visiting the Dominican community—and we’re so proud of these learners for taking a stand and tackling this issue head-on! ✊🏾 The Youth Ambassadors Program empowers young people in various high schools to become Everyday Activists and champions of human rights across Africa. If you want to donate, get involved, or find out more info, send us a message. #JusticeDeskAfrica #YouthAmbassadors #Advocacy #AntiBullying #InclusionMatters #EverydayActivism The Youth Ambassadors Program is funded by Edmund Rice Development and Misean Cara.

Justice Desk Africa stands against the proposed 30% municipal levy hike in Cape Town. We condemn this move as economically reckless, structurally oppressive, and deeply anti-poor. In a city where poverty, youth unemployment, and inequality are already at crisis levels, this policy is not just tone-deaf—it is institutional cruelty. We call on civil society, youth, and grassroots movements to rise in resistance. This is not governance, it’s class warfare disguised as policy. Reject austerity. Demand justice. Power to the people, not the politicians. #JusticeDeskAfrica #CapeTown #MunicipalHike #Advocacy #SocialJustice Nicholas Tlatlane

Empowerment Session 5 at the Cape Town Science Centre 🚀🔭 Our Mbokodo and iNtsika Heroes came together for an unforgettable day of learning, fun, and exploration at the Science Centre in Observatory. From hands-on exhibits to guided sessions on science experiments, the visible light spectrum, and inventions—our changemakers immersed themselves in the wonders of science while building knowledge and confidence along the way. Because empowerment also means sparking curiosity and dreaming big! If you want to donate or get involved, send us a message. #JusticeDeskAfrica #MbokodoProgram #iNtsikayeThemba #EverydayActivism #YouthInScience #ANCP These programs are supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) and Edmund Rice Foundation.
