We are now showing a great artwork from Teho Ropeyarn with original prints both in our Sydney and London offices. This was commissioned originally to illustrate our RAP - thanks to all our friends and partners at YarnnUp that helped us in the journey to the publication of our first Reconciliation Action Plan.

This week we celebrated the launch of our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) during National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week. Hosted by our Sydney studio and joined by our London campus, the event introduced the original large-scale artwork, Muraany Avang by Teho Ropeyarn, an artist and curator originally from Injinoo, Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, who lives and works in Cairns. Ropeyarn has created two prints that are on display in our Sydney and London offices – a catalyst for introducing the Reflect RAP to our employees, colleagues and clients. Thank you to our First Nations consultants at YarnnUp, a Sydney-based Aboriginal-owned consultancy who specialise in assisting organisations such as ours on the path to reconciliation and worked with us throughout the development of our RAP. We acknowledge our commitment to working alongside First Nations peoples, businesses and communities, and recognise our responsibility to always act in the spirit of respect and reconciliation. This is especially important given the work we do is closely associated with the planning and design of the land. National Reconciliation Week 2025 has come to a close, but the work of reconciliation is far from over. At YarnnUp we’ve always said: Reconciliation is not a week. It’s a lifelong practice. It’s not symbolic. It’s systemic. And this year, we saw just how powerful it can be when people show up with courage, care, and cultural integrity. Our first-ever public session, Bridging Now to Next, was something special. Together with an incredible community of leaders, learners, and change-makers, we explored what it means to move: → From acknowledgment to action → From uncertainty to confidence → From isolated gestures to collective transformation In the coming days, we’ll be sharing client reflections and insights from the session, raw, real, and deeply purposeful. These videos capture the energy, truth-telling, and accountability that reconciliation demands. Because NRW might be wrapping up, but this is exactly where the real work begins. Let’s keep walking. Let’s keep building. Let’s keep reconciling. #NRW2025 #YarnnUp #CulturalIntelligence #FirstNationsLeadership #ReconciliationInAction #YarnnUpAI #LeadWithStory #AncestralIntelligence #SystemicChange #ReconciliationWeek

When it comes to reconciliation, partnership matters. We recently held our first-ever public event, Bridging Now to Next, and one thing was clear: real change happens when people, teams, and organisations are willing to sit in the complexity, listen with humility, and act with integrity. In this client reflection, Edyta Torpy a reconciliation leader from the insurance sector, shares what she took away from the session and why working with expert partners like YarnnUp is not just valuable, but necessary. This isn’t just about writing a RAP. It’s about knowing how to bring it to life in ways that are relational, culturally safe, and grounded in First Nations-led frameworks. Working with YarnnUp means: → Moving beyond performative action → Building systems that hold cultural intelligence, not just good intention → Embedding Ancestral Intelligence into everyday decisions Edyta’s reflection reminds us that reconciliation is not something to do alone, it’s a journey best walked with the right knowledge holders, cultural experts, and community-led guidance. We’re grateful for her leadership, her learning, and the trust placed in YarnnUp to guide this work. Because this is what best practice looks like, and this is how we shape the future of reconciliation. #YarnnUp #CulturalLeadership #RAPImplementation #AncestralIntelligence #PartnershipsInPractice #ReconciliationInAction #SystemicChange #FirstNationsVoices #NRW2025 #YarnnUpAI

History Made! Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games First Nations Reconciliation Action Plan Yesterday, we stand in a moment that has never existed before. For the first time in history, a country has embedded a First Nations strategy directly into the delivery of an Olympic and Paralympic Games. YarnnUp is incredibly proud to have led the design, delivery, and implementation of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), a groundbreaking achievement not just for Australia, but for the global Olympic movement. This is more than a document. It’s more than a plan. It’s the start of a legacy. This is a legacy where the world's greatest sporting event actively engages with First Nations peoples, not just as a token gesture, but as a genuine commitment to truth, culture, and shared futures. We walk humbly but proudly alongside our partners, the BlackCard, the working group, the Brisbane 2032 team, and the broader community, who believe in a vision where First Nations wisdom, leadership, and stories are not just included but embedded at the heart of global events. At YarnnUp, we believe that: 🖤When different worlds meet, extraordinary things happen. 💛When First Nations voices lead, the future transforms. ❤️When stories are woven into the fabric of change, we all rise. This achievement is not just a first. It is a signal to the world: that First Nations peoples from across the globe have a place, a voice, and a leadership role in shaping how the Olympics moves forward, not just in 2032, but for generations to come. We are YarnnUp. We honour the past, walk in the present, and inspire the future. A special thank you to my incredible team at YarnnUp, with a special mention to Suzanne Grech, Ginny Jones, Cassandra Shelton and Kim J. who have led this amazing initiative. And finally, a special shout-out to Elaine Chambers-Hegarty for the creation of this beautiful artwork. Let’s keep creating change, together, Andrew N. Earlier this year, we joined The Marketing Academy's 2025 Reveal: a gathering of leaders, creatives, and emerging voices. Aunty Donna Ingram opened the evening with a Welcome to Country that grounded the room in story, responsibility, and presence. Her words reminded us that leadership begins with relationship with the land, with each other, and with the truths we carry. We’re grateful to have shared space in a room committed to purpose-led impact - and to have witnessed a moment that placed culture at the centre of future thinking.

  • Congratulations to ESR Australia & NZ on the launch of their first Reflect RAP, a considered and values-led step toward embedding cultural respect and accountability across their organisation. As cultural partners, YarnnUp has supported ESR’s journey through a process grounded in place, listening, and long-term responsibility. At the launch event, our founder William Trewlynn spoke to the power of reconciliation when it moves beyond symbolism and into structural change. The energy in the room reflected genuine commitment - not just to reflection, but to action. It was a privilege to be present, to speak, and to witness the beginning of what we know will be a meaningful and enduring partnership.

🐦 Bird or rabbit? 🐇 Because our perspectives inherently shape our understanding, we often miss the nuances within situations. Cultivating greater openness and awareness is key. 🗝️ Thank you to William and Ray for last week's mind-opening YarnnUp Cultural Capability training. By integrating neuroscience, emotional and cultural intelligence with Aboriginal cultural awareness, the program empowered us to build culturally effective environments by addressing unconscious biases and fostering new ways of thinking and behaving. #CulturalAwareness #EmployeeExperience #YarnnUp #FutureBrandAu
