🌿 Winvic’s 10th Green Supply Chain Workshop 🌿 Last week, we hosted our tenth bi-annual Green Supply Chain (GSC) Workshop, welcoming over 80 partners from across our GSC cohorts. Over the years, these workshops have become a platform for collaborative action, working together with our supply chain partners to embed and upskill sustainable practices, strengthen data quality, and drive progress on our shared sustainability journey. This session opened with updates on the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (UKNZCBS) and BREEAM Version 7, before shifting focus onto Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and credible business carbon footprint reporting. Through interactive roundtable discussions, shared insights on: 📈 Our GSC progress and challenges in measuring and verifying Scope 1, 2 and 3 data 🍃 What best practice sustainability and ESG governance looks like ⭐ How to effectively communicate sustainability goals at site level 🤝 How to prepare for emerging client and industry expectations We were also pleased to welcome Sam Elford and Natalie Burd from CITB, who shared insights on how CITB supports training and upskilling to deliver social value commitments, from employment and skills plans to SME support and skills mapping. The workshop concluded with a session on our Decarbonisation Scheme, which integrates carbon targets into contracts. Together with our supply chain, we discussed how we can build resilience, better our processes, and strengthen sustainable practices to meet both project level and organisational net zero targets.
