Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Development & Communications Manager – Australia (“BD&C Manager”) is responsible for ensuring that business development, marketing and communications initiatives of the Australia offices (Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne) are integrated and consistent with the Firm’s strategies and policies. The Australia BD&C Manager works closely with global, centralized teams who lead on pitches and proposals, directories, media relations and events as well as with other colleagues both within the Australia, Asia Pacific offices and beyond. The BD&C Manager ensures that all such activities are compliant with Firm policies and procedures and reinforces with the lawyers and the BD&C staff the Firm’s vision and policies. The Manager will also promote integration of the business development efforts of the Australia offices and work with the Regional Partner in Charge to improve client development opportunities for inbound and outbound services.
Required Qualifications:
University-level degree.
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a business development and/or marketing role in a business and/or professional services environment; law firm experience a plus.
Three (3) plus years of experience managing people and/or programs.
