Day 2 of our Australian Government Delegation to Korea included visiting the Australian Embassy in Seoul to hear from the Korea Quantum Industry Association (COE, Alfred Bang) and TIPA (Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs) about collaboration and funding opportunities for quantum research. Several Korean tech companies joined the afternoon session, which focused on joint R&D and commercialisation opportunities. This week Sydney Nano, University of Sydney is in Seoul, Daejun and Gwangju, as part of the Australian Government's Quantum Delegation to Korea. Day 1: Korea - Australia Joint Workshop was held at KRISS : Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science. Professor Stephen Bartlett showcased our quantum expertise along with researchers from other leading Australian universities. We learnt about the Korean quantum ecosystem and explored local and national collaboration opportunities. The day ended with a visit to Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology where we were taken on an tour of the highly impressive National Nanofab Center.
