It’s not the farming. It’s the org chart. Everyone talks about RegenAg. But inside most AgFood companies, there’s a quieter question lurking: “Whose problem is this, actually?” 👉Finance wants numbers they can defend. 👉Procurement wants supply stability. 👉Marketing wants claims & market shares 👉Strategy & Sustainability want alignment (before 2030…). So we built a 1-minute quiz to help you figure out WHO really needs to be in the room for our Exec Briefing on the ROI of Regen Ag on Dec 16th. It’s quick, honest, and based on the conversations we’re having every day with AgFood players. #AgFood #RegenAg

Regenerative agriculture for food system resilience & climate action
About us
Soil Capital is a mission-driven company with long expertise in regenerative agriculture and spearheading the low-carbon transition of farms. It was founded on the core belief that farmers should be rewarded and fairly compensated for their key role in tackling the climate crisis. In 2019, Soil Capital launched Europe’s first certified carbon payment programme to accelerate the adoption of regenerative practices. Today, Soil Capital goes Beyond Carbon with 30+ indicators reflecting farm performance across five critical areas: soil health, biodiversity, water management, climate and socio-economics. The programme counts over 1,800 farmers in its ranks, spread across France, Belgium and the UK on 500,000 ha. Soil Capital’s ambition is to accompany farmers in the transition of 10 million hectares to more profitable and regenerative agriculture by 2030. Our programme unlocks regenerative and resilient food supply chains, by connecting farmers with food & fiber companies committed to rebalancing our agriculture system. We also support companies that want to contribute to support regenerative farming as part of their global net zero initiatives. The programme is built on a reliable methodology that complies with the FLAG requirements of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), helping companies reduce their scope 3 emissions and sustainable goals.

Only five years until 2030, in other words, only 5 harvests left! This deadline is pushing to act now with ambition and measurable outcomes. But the path may be blurred and full of ambush That’s why we launched our webinar series “6 Harvests Until 2030” last year By inviting industry leaders from the AgFood & Beverage sector at the forefront of the Regen Ag transition, as they share insights on reducing land-based emissions and enhancing supply chain resilience, we delves into the critical strategies for scaling regenerative agriculture programmes to meet net-zero goals. Thank you to all who have attended, and all our speakers for this first season: Valeria Forlin, Léna Girard, Delphine de Brogniez, PhD, Silvana Paniagua Tufinio, Lucia von Reusner, Dana Rakha-Michalon, Ceejay Girard, Gregorio Dávila Díaz, Nick Philp , James Bucher, Thomas Goodman, Chuck de Liedekerke, Andrew V., Camille Laurent Thank you to our cross-promotion partners who supported us in making this series a success: Regrow Ag, SustainCERT and International Platform for Insetting (IPI) (Link in comments 👇)

🇪🇺 Actors across the food value chain and #DGCLIMA #DGAGRI met in Brussels to discuss how to unlock regenerative agriculture at scale. We can scale regenerative agriculture - and all the #foodsecurity, farmer livelihood and ecosystem benefits it brings - so much quicker if we bring public and value chain funding together. Done well, this can make it commercially attractive for many more businesses in the agrifood sector to invest, today. And it can result in a smarter use of public money, where the same budget can multiply its impact by combining forces with and coordinating private sector funding. Now that Europe is close to having a harmonised standard for measuring the impact of such activities via the CRCF, attention needs to be given to designing the right mechanisms to bring together public-private funding instruments in this way. We at Soil Capital were therefore very pleased to bring together a group of leading agrifood businesses from our close network yesterday to discuss detailed proposals with policymakers from DGCLIMA and DGAGRI. There was encouraging alignment on key aspects of how to make this work in practice in the room and we look forward to helping to intensify work on this topic across many sector groups over the next six months. 👏 Our thanks to Joris Brams DANIS NV / Lynette Chung, Boortmalt/ Emma Langevin, CultivAé - Coopérative agroécologique / Camilla Liput, ADM / Vanessa Maire, Unilever / Esther Monard, Arvesta / Caroline Ploux, Mars/ Uwe Schröder, Cefetra Ecosystem Services / Lucia Segurini, PepsiCo/ Bart Vandewaetere, Nestlé Chuck de Liedekerke Andrew V. The members of the Climate Agriculture Alliance already support the transition of 30,000 farmers over 10 million hectares — an area equivalent to the entirety of Portugal or Hungary. But agricultural carbon market’s are not immune to an uncertainty, unsure of the quality and capabilities of a regenerative transition. Offtake is dangerously low. The risk of a price collapse is real. If this happens, the consequences will be severe: 👉 the agricultural transition will be delayed by years, dramatically increasing the cost of decarbonisation, and undermine farmer willingness to change at a critical moment. We must act decisively. The solution lies in: ✅ Clarifying how to effectively use existing schemes under the #CRCF (Carbon removal and Carbon Farming). ✅ Stabilising the market with a credible price support mechanisms. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Never again will we be able to transition so many farmers, across so much land, so quickly and at such a low cost. If we allow this chance to slip away, it may not return. The moment to safeguard the transition is now. We cannot afford to waste it. #RegenAg #EU #Carbonfarming Chuck de Liedekerke Andrew V. Given the chance to speak directly to EU policy makers, Simon Kraemer would ask this👇: “Do we have an obligation to grow the peace and the health of our sisters, our brothers, our children, and of the future generations to come? And if they nod… I would ask them to refocus on a common agriculture policy that regenerates our European democracy.” Watch the full episode of Deep Seed 🎥 (available in the comments👇) and discover why Simon, Executive director of EARA | European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture, calls for blended finance and the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). #RegenerativeAgriculture #AgEconomics #DeepSeedPodcast #CAP #FarmingFutures #SoilCapital #EARA

Soil Capital CEO, Chuck de Liedekerke was interviewed by L'Echo. Topics discussed: ➡️ Deloitte Fast 50 2025 Sustainability win. ➡️ Soil Capital's core mission: putting farmers first. ➡️ Success of our model, which has supported farmers with over €14 million for meeting ecosystem services . Regenerative agriculture can be profitable for farmers and is essential for the planet. As Chuck says, "Farmers rightly value results more than promises. We quickly succeeded in compensating them." Our solution is truly global and systemic. It goes beyond carbon, encompassing improved agricultural yields, reduced inputs, and limiting risks like flooding. This "immense virtuous circle" is strengthened by crucial partnerships with major groups like Mars, Cargill, Royal Canin, and AXA, enabling large-scale pilot programs. Read how we turn soil health into a global climate solution. 👇 #ESG #FoodSystem #SustainableFarming #ImpactInvesting
