The situation remains critical in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces the most impacted areas with now over 1,500 people reported dead and more than 3,000 injured. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC is working very closely with the Afghan Red Crescent who has been there in those affected areas within the hours after the earthquake. We fear that these numbers will continue to rise as the search and rescue efforts continue and it's been four days since the earthquake happened. IFRC Communications Manager Afrhill R. spoke to Channel News Asia about the situation on the ground following the powerful earthquake in Afghanistan and our response.

Thousands of families across Pakistan are facing a deepening humanitarian crisis in the wake of devastating monsoon floods and other climate-induced disasters. Homes, livelihoods, and critical infrastructure have been swept away, leaving communities without access to food, clean water, healthcare, and shelter. In response to the rapidly escalating needs, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society is intensifying its emergency operations in the affected areas.
