Helsing and automotive supplier Schaeffler are launching a strategic collaboration. Schaeffler will manage the manufacturing and procurement of key electronic components for Helsing's drones, while also helping to establish resilient supply chains for essential semiconductors and raw materials. A Memorandum of Understanding between the companies was signed today by Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler, and Wolfgang Gammel, Managing Director of Helsing Germany, in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius, and the Minister for Economic Affairs, Katherina Reiche. Minister Boris Pistorius said: "We need stronger networking between the civil and defence industries. The MoU between Helsing and Schaeffler is an excellent example for many others.” Minister Katherina Reiche added: “When we create synergies between civilian and security-relevant production, scalable capabilities emerge. New jobs are created, and supply chains become more robust.”

Helsing has opened its first UK Resilience Factory – in Plymouth, the National Centre for Marine Autonomy. Dozens of high skilled jobs will be created immediately in Plymouth, with potentially hundreds more to meet the orders from allied navies. The new facility will initially be producing Helsing’s subsea autonomous AI-enabled glider, the SG-1 Fathom. The SG-1 Fathom is designed to hunt down enemy submarines and protect our sea lanes and critical undersea infrastructure. At the same time, the Resilience Factory will enable us to continue to research and develop future maritime solutions in a secure environment. Helsing is now proud to call Plymouth home. Helsing and Saab are upgrading the Eurofighter with a new Electronic Warfare (EW) system, whereby Helsing will supply the artificial intelligence. Together with colleagues, Matthias Amthor, Deputy CEO of Saab Deutschland, and Stephanie Lingemann, Head of Helsing’s Air Domain, signed a corresponding contract at Berlin Security Conference.   Helsing’s AI-based software Cirra will be integrated into Saab's Arexis sensor suite on the Eurofighter. The software and hardware from both companies will jointly enable the aircraft to conduct combat missions and to destroy enemy air defence systems. Cirra utilises deep learning to classify unknown air defence emitters and understand their intentions. The algorithms run directly on the fighter aircraft. To demonstrate the system’s capabilities and reduce programme risks, Helsing integrated Cirra into a flying testbed in recent months, and conducted company-owned test and evaluation flights.

The HX-2 is Helsing’s next-generation loitering munition – an AI-enabled strike drone designed for mass production, high mission autonomy, and networked operation. Over the past few months, soldiers across four different countries have put the HX-2 through its paces in military-led field tests, with the first soldier-operated strikes conducted after only a matter of hours of training. Built for flexibility, HX-2 is autonomous with a human on the loop, and compatible with different warheads to meet the demands of a range of missions. It brings together Helsing’s software-defined approach and scalable hardware design to empower our armed forces with advanced precision strike capability. Helsing acquires Blue Ocean Marine Tech Systems, an ocean technology company that designs, develops, and operates autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). By combining our AI-driven autonomous mass-approach with Blue Ocean’s expertise in the design and operations of autonomous sub-sea platforms, we create a unique Mission Partnership for European countries and AUKUS members to defend our seas. This is crucial at a time when nefarious subsea activity is growing at an unprecedented rate, and our navies need innovative solutions to deter our adversaries. The acquisition follows a series of milestones in our maritime business ranging from the successful trials of our AI-enabled glider SG-1 Fathom at BUTEC, an underwater military test range, to our multi-year commitment to building a Resilience Factory in Plymouth, UK, to scale production. The acquisition is subject to a routine legal process in Australia with court, regulatory, and shareholder approval required. We look forward to combining our respective areas of expertise in 2026.

Today we are introducing CA-1 Europa, our autonomous uncrewed combat air vehicle (UCAV). Designed as a sovereign European solution, CA-1 is a multi-role fighter platform built around Centaur, Helsing's advanced AI pilot for air combat.   A design study of CA-1 Europa was unveiled earlier today at Helsing's subsidiary Grob Aircraft SE, where the first prototypes will be manufactured and tested. The high-performance platform is being developed together with the European aerospace ecosystem, with a focus on scalability and resilient supply chains. With CA-1 Europa, we are opening the next chapter of air combat in Europe. Autonomous, scalable, sovereign.

Today Helsing is announcing a new partnership with Systematic, a leading European defence software firm.    Systematic is widely respected for its command-and-control systems, particularly SitaWare, which supports battlefield management and enables interoperability between allies.  Its technology is already used extensively throughout Europe and by more than 50 nations around the world.      By combining Systematic’s expertise with Helsing’s AI-enabled platforms we will build the next generation of autonomous mass, designed, made and maintained in Europe.    In practical terms we will create a European sovereign solution for swarming drones, which military experts see as the vital next step in securing battlefield autonomy.  Military personnel will be able to control vast numbers of systems, staying ‘in the loop’ whilst the systems can communicate and synchronise between themselves to accelerate decision cycles and actions.    This partnership between Helsing and Systematic highlights deepening intra-European collaboration as we work at pace with allies and industry partners to strengthen Europe’s defences at this critical time. 

Today we’re announcing a new partnership with ARX Robotics, Europe’s leading start-up for unmanned land systems. Together, we strive to make a fundamental contribution to future AI-based recce-strike capabilities of European armies, by equipping them with networking abilities and artificial intelligence. These advances will mean our forces can act faster, with more precision, and with fewer armed service personnel. Arx and Helsing both have combat-proven technology. The insights gained from the battlefields in Ukraine will enhance the products of our collaboration. By combining our expertise in this new partnership beyond our previous collaboration, we are confident that we can deliver technological superiority to European democracies.
