Our team member, Barbara Szaflarska, had the incredible opportunity to represent the GraviTE project at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025 in Sydney! 🇦🇺 IAC is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious events dedicated to space exploration. This year’s edition, held under the theme “Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth”, brought together scientists, engineers, space agency representatives, and enthusiasts from nearly 100 countries to share the latest discoveries, technologies, and visions for the future of space research 🌍✨ Presentation titled “Design of a small bioreactor for orbital stations to test a bone tissue model in microgravity.” summarized two years of intensive work on the GraviTE project, starting from our participation in the Direction: Space competition. The project focuses on developing a miniaturized bioreactor for biological experiments in microgravity, designed to test bone tissue models in orbital conditions. This solution could significantly contribute to the advancement of space medicine and improve our understanding of astronaut health during long-duration missions 🧬 Participation in IAC 2025 was an incredible source of inspiration and a strong confirmation that GraviTE is heading in the right direction! 💫 The GraviTE project is carried out in collaboration with the New Space Foundation , the Faculty of Space Technologies AGH, and the research group of Professor Elżbieta Pamuła Regenerative Biomaterials & Drug Delivery Systems AGH - Prof. Pamuła’s Research Group.
