At #USBI in Minneapolis we were able to talk to lots of developers and existing customers. Front and center was our combined solution, bringing a fully integrated package of engineering, feedstock drying, conveyance, and Pyreg pyrolysis equipment. We can use this with multiple feedstocks including wood waste, agricultural residues, and sewage sludge. We are off to #Chicago next week to share this with wastewater treatment folks at #WEFTEC. Come visit us at booth 6046 in the North Building! Meet our team, including our experts Will Marquis and Brecc Avellar, to learn everything about future-ready #pyrolysis solutions! #bcr #watertreatment #biochar #environmentalInnovation #engineering

A great way to close our last week: Many thanks to Minister Katrin Eder, Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy and Mobility, for visiting our headquarters. Together with the Minister, we discussed the key drivers of our industry and the urgent demands of our time. She summed it up well: The time is now. Embracing greater sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s a real necessity. Our team had the opportunity to present the work we're doing - how we’re using pyrolysis to lay the foundation for sustainable urban development - and to show why cities like Sydney are turning to innovation from Germany. For us, her visit was a strong signal that we’re on the right path. Thank you to Minister Eder for asking sharp, insightful questions, for the open and constructive exchange, and for her commitment to continuing this joint effort in the future. And of course, thank you to our amazing #team, whose presentations and insights made the visit a success. #bcr #climatech #carbonremoval

𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫: 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐘𝐑𝐄𝐆! I'm thrilled to share that I’ve joined Pyreg — a leading manufacturer of systems used for the production of Biochar! My time at Deloitte was invaluable. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all my colleagues for their incredible support and mentorship over the years — thank you! At PYREG, I’ll draw on my background in mechanical engineering, sustainability, consulting, and (capital) project management to: 🔹 Design and deliver project development services to make Biochar projects with PYREG systems a guaranteed success 🔹 Establish PYREG as the go-to trusted advisor for clients and Biochar project developers worldwide ♻️ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫? Biochar is created through a carbon-negative process that heats up waste biomass (like agricultural residues, wastewater sludge, and other organic waste) at very high temperatures in an oxygen-free environment, turning this biomass into a stable, fossilized form of charcoal that has many powerful applications: ✅ Improved crop yields ✅ Enhanced soil health & water retention ✅ Destruction of pathogens and PFAS in biosolids ✅ Decreased nitrate pollution in water ✅ Substitution of virgin or fossil materials ✅ and much more… 🌍 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭? Biochar is a critical solution in the fight against climate change, and the numbers speak for themselves: biochar has delivered over 90% of all carbon credits from engineered carbon removal technologies (source: CDR.fyi)! This highlights Biochar's immense potential to scale carbon sequestration worldwide while decarbonizing many industries. Huge thanks to Alexander and Jan for their trust and for this incredible opportunity. Let's make a real difference together! #Biochar #Sustainability #CarbonRemoval #CDR #ClimateChange #CircularEconomy #RegenerativeAgriculture #SoilHealth #Engineering #Manufacturing

Stockholm, San Francisco, Berlin, London – just a few of the cities involved in the City CDR Initiative. Today, we’re proud to announce that we are now an official partner company of the initiative. Together with some of the world’s largest cities, we’ll be working on rethinking and reshaping the concept of “city” in a more sustainable way. Carbon removal and reduction are more important than ever. Cities are growing, and so is the demand for electricity, heat, and other essential resources. Circular economy approaches – such as #biochar solutions – will be key for urban planning going forward. Only by using resources more intelligently and extensively can future demand continue to be met. We’re proud to be part of this initiative. Together, we’re developing real-world solutions, exciting case studies, and concepts that help growing cities sustain their roles into the future. #CityCDR #bcr #germanengineering #climatech #carbonRemoval
