We invested in Lucis (YC X25) 🖤 We’re so happy to share that Lucis just raised $8.5M in a Seed round led by General Catalyst. Most healthcare systems wait until you’re sick to act. That’s a bug, not a feature. The future isn’t reactive care. It’s structured prevention. That’s why Lucis is building the first European preventive health Operating System: → One subscription. Two blood draws per year. → 180 biomarkers analyzed by an AI brain + medical team. → Certified lab networks across Europe. → A clear dashboard. Personalized action plans. Most people only check their health when something feels wrong. By then, your biology has been signaling for months, sometimes years. Christmas is coming, so why not gift yourself a shot at living a longer and healthier life?

8 months ago, 199 Ventures didn’t exist. Today we’ve backed 15 founders in 6 companies. 400K€ invested. 150K€ last week only. We're hoping to add at least 2 more before year's end. 199 Ventures started as a Google Doc idea. Now it’s compounding, deal by deal. And starting to feel very real!

We invested in TERN Group 🖤 Last week, TERN Group announced its $24M Series A, led by Notion Capital. Founded in 2023 by Avinav Nigam and Krishna Ramkumar, TERN is a clinical AI workforce platform tackling global healthcare shortages. In just one year, the team has expanded into Germany, the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the US. Today, more than 650,000 healthcare professionals across 13 countries use TERN to access jobs, training, and relocation support. With this new funding, TERN will scale its workforce management infrastructure and keep addressing one of healthcare’s biggest challenges: a projected shortage of 18M healthcare workers by 2030 (World Health Organization). This round was led by Notion Capital, and we’re proud to join alongside LocalGlobe and RTP Global, with continued support from Presight Capital. Congratulations to the entire TERN team on this next chapter!

Yesterday, Spiko announced its $22M Series A led by Index Ventures 🖤 A huge congrats to Paul-Adrien, Antoine, and the entire team for reaching this big milestone! It's great to be surrounded by such talented investors: Frst, White Star Capital, Rerail, Blockwall, Bpifrance, Athletico Ventures, and amazing angels like Nik Storonsky (Revolut) & Arthur Waller (Pennylane). As for us, we're super excited at 199 Ventures to be a part of this ride 😊

We invested in Stairling 🖤 Thrilled to back Stairling as they cross the €2M ARR milestone in just under 10 months! Led by the great Mimoun and Sarah, Stairling is building the employment-as-a-service infrastructure for VTC drivers. Independent drivers can now combine the security of employment with the freedom of entrepreneurship — and build a path toward long-term financial stability. As always, it’s super nice to share the journey — and this time, we’re investing alongside Kima Ventures, Source Ventures, Hook, and Plug and Play Tech Center!
