🚀 DORAI Statement v03 has landed! The DORAI group of operators proudly announces the release of the third DORAI Statement! This marks another major step forward in building an open, scalable, and functional drone ecosystem across Europe and beyond. DORAI supports the #open_modular_architecture through the definition of interfaces that link together a highly performant, evolvable, and cost-effective value chain. 🔍 What’s new in v03: • Containerization: remote swappable drone payload (added details) • Drone landing carriage/feet allowing post-flight repositioning (added details) • Precision landing and automated charging (added details) • Short-term priorities for production flights in populated areas • Stronger alignment with #SAIL III and M2 High compliance • Long-term vision for scalable operations & open interfaces to #C2C This version builds upon the previous version and on real-world operator experiences from 6 countries. It directly supports manufacturers in designing compliant and market-ready drone systems, lowering their specification uncertainties. Our own Esmeralda and Afroditi recently visited the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence of the University of Cyprus in Nicosia, to kick-off our new project ‘ EUSOME ’ !!🎉🎉 Over two incredible days, the project team gathered together in person for the first time to organise the upcoming tasks, exchange insights about our individual strengths and responsibilities and prepare for the exciting journey ahead🌟 Funded by Horizon Europe 🇪🇺, EUSOME stands for ‘Enabling Autonomous Aerial Systems through Operational Methods and Technological Enhancements’. Though the title is a mouthful, our goal is simple to understand; we aim to establish Innovative Aerial Mobility Excellence Hubs, focusing on the advancement of IAM technologies, regulations & acceptance in the South-East Mediterranean region and beyond 🌍🌍 Our team at HUSI will be focusing on regulatory research into U-space best practices ⚖️ & the strategic management of project communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities📢📢.
