REMRED Ltd. is a 100% privately owned, leading Hungarian space engineering spin-off company founded by one of the pioneering Hungarian space research groups, the Centre for Energy Research with 50 years of relevant experience. The primary mission of REMRED Ltd. is to develop, test and adopt technologies and techniques for space applications for national and foreign industrial users. The company provides specific space industrial services, like vibration and T-VAC testing of small space equipment according to ECSS, cleanroom (ISO7) soldering and assembly, space engineering consultancy and detailed design development of small space equipment in the field of mechanics, electronics and related software. REMRED Ltd. also offers some specific instrumentation as space market products in the field of space weather, cosmic radiation and space dosimetry monitoring. The company has expertise in coordinating activities related to flight models of specific small equipment and space research instruments from design through manufacturing and assembly until the end of acceptance testing, including specific calibration campaigns. Remred's vision is to also become a key European stakeholder in the small space systems market through its experienced staff and the ambitious development of its REMTECH facility, a 4 000 m2 Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Testing Technology Centre that will significantly extend its capabilities, enabling MAIT on much larger systems, including satellites up to 400 kg.

  • In mid-December 2025, we moved our new Thermal Vacuum Chamber (TVAC) into place at the REMTECH CENTER, currently under construction in Martonvásár, Hungary. With a 55 m³ test chamber volume, this state-of-the-art TVAC simulates the harsh conditions of space: vacuum and temperatures from -170 °C to +165 °C.     🇪🇺 On Thursday, 4iG Space and Defence Technologies was represented at European Space Agency - ESA Headquarters in Paris at the reception marking the 10th anniversary of Hungary’s accession to the European Space Agency.   Our colleague, Fruzsina Tari, participated in the event held following the 342nd ESA Council, which brought together representatives of ESA Member States to celebrate a decade of Hungary’s involvement in European space cooperation.   🌍 Milestones like these highlight the importance of long-term international collaboration in building sustainable and sovereign space capabilities.   #wedoit

    REMTECH Centre on track - 2025 milestones in review 2025 was a defining year for the REMTECH Centre in Martonvásár. From visible progress on site to the arrival and installation of key test systems, 🏗️ construction is advancing according to plan. Earlier this year, we shared 🎥 video footage of the rapidly evolving site in Martonvásár, where Hungary's largest space MAIT centre is taking shape. Since then, the Centre has continued to grow, and work has progressed on shaping the dedicated 🛠️ manufacturing, 👨🏻🔬👩🏻🔬laboratory and 🏢 office areas that will soon host cutting-edge space engineering activities. A significant ✅ milestone was the delivery and installation of the first high-precision vibration and shock testing and TVAC systems at the REMTECH Centre. These will allow us to simulate the harsh mechanical loads that spacecraft experience during launch. Several additional specialised test systems are already in the pipeline and being delivered in stages, gradually expanding REMTECH's capabilities in multiple fields of environmental testing. Once completed, the REMTECH Centre will offer around 4,000 m² of workspace in Martonvásár, including 1,500 m² of ISO 8 and ISO 5 cleanroom laboratory area. Designed to support the integration and testing of 🛰️ complete small satellites and related systems in the 100–400 kg range, the facility will enable end-to-end MAIT activities from hardware manufacturing to final qualification under one roof. The REMTECH Centre is one of the most significant infrastructure developments in the history of the Hungarian space sector. By continuously adding new specialised test equipment and capabilities, it is positioning 🇭🇺 Hungary as a regional hub for space hardware testing and development in Central and Eastern Europe. 🚀 Thank you to everyone - engineers, construction partners and suppliers - contributing to this long-term effort.   • 🚀 New milestone unlocked: Our new Thermal Vacuum Chamber has arrived at the REMTECH Centre! We are proud to announce that yesterday, the brand‑new Thermal Vacuum Chamber (TVAC) - the largest of its kind in Central Europe - was delivered and successfully installed at REMRED's REMTECH Centre in Martonvásár. With a 55 m³ test chamber volume, this state‑of‑the‑art Thermal Vacuum Chamber can simulate the harsh conditions of space: vacuum and temperatures ranging from -170 °C to +165 °C. This capability enables full environmental qualification of satellites and space systems well before launch. With this addition, REMTECH Centre becomes Central Europe's first facility capable of thermal‑vacuum qualification of full-sized small satellites. This marks a new chapter for the Hungarian space industry.     We're excited to share that Apex has signed a trilateral MoU with 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (4iG SDT) and its subsidiary Remred (REMRED), to bring sovereign satellite manufacturing capabilities to Hungary and serve the broader European market. "The collaboration announced today is about redefining what’s possible in high-rate satellite manufacturing for proliferated constellations,” said Apex CEO Ian Cinnamon. “By harnessing Apex’s proven mass-production expertise with the innovation and ambition of our European partners, we’re accelerating the transition to a future where satellite constellations can be deployed at unprecedented speed and scale on a global basis.”  We look forward to working with 4iG SDT and REMRED to establish scaled satellite manufacturing in Europe and support the next generation of critical, proliferated European constellations.

    🇺🇸 US–Hungarian strategic cooperation agreement to establish satellite mass-production capabilities 🇭🇺 4iG Space and Defence Technologies Zrt. and its subsidiary, Remred Zrt., have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with US-based Apex - Spacecraft Manufacturing, Inc., a leading satellite platform developer and manufacturer in the United States. 👉 The goal goes beyond building individual satellites. The partners aim to establish an industrial operating model that delivers consistent quality, predictable production schedules and scalable manufacturing capacity in Europe. What each partner brings to the cooperation: 🔹 Apex Technology, Inc. - proven satellite platforms, mass-manufacturing capabilities, and integration services optimised for constellation-scale satellite production 🔹 REMRED - ECSS-compliant European engineering capabilities and MAIT infrastructure 🔹 4iG SDT - vertical integration across the satellite value chain, programme integration capability, and international market access 🎯 The partnership aims to lay the foundations for an EU-compliant, export ready satellite mass-manufacturing and integration capability that can operate at industrial scale specifically targeting constellation applications. Following the signing of the MoU, the partners will launch detailed technical and business assessments to define potential implementation models and scaling pathways. “One of the most important goals of the cooperation is to introduce the Ford-T-like serial production logic that has already been proven in the American space industry - led by Apex - to the European satellite market. This approach could fundamentally change the development and production pace and cost structure of satellites, just as it revolutionized the automotive industry 100 years ago.   • This weekend marks the peak of the 🌠 Geminid meteor shower, one of the most active and visually stunning events in the night sky. With up to 120 meteors per hour under ideal conditions, the Geminids regularly deliver a brilliant performance every December. Unlike most ☄️ meteor showers, the Geminids originate from an asteroid, 3200 Phaethon, which sets them apart both scientifically and visually. Their slow, bright trails often dominate the sky when visibility allows. Unfortunately, this year's weather forecast for Hungary brings a challenge. Dense 🌫️ fog and overcast skies are expected to limit visibility across much of the region. Still, the Geminids remind us of the dynamic and beautiful nature of our solar system.
