A new report, powered by PitchBook data, highlights that Irish lifesciences and health tech companies raised a record €491.3 million in 2024 — our strongest year ever, achieved against a backdrop of sharply reduced global VC activity in the sector. A clear sign of maturity: late-stage and venture-growth deals now account for 46% of total volume. The momentum continues into 2025 with FIRE1’s $120 million round, one of Europe’s largest health tech deals this year. Enterprise Ireland supported 60 deals and was named the world’s most active lifesciences & health tech investor in 2024. Ireland’s ecosystem is resilient, maturing and attracting significant international capital.
