Meet Nadine McMahon, Legal Director, alchemist and resident yoga teacher at Johnson Hana - a Eudia company. As an alchemist, Nadine brings a little magic (along with years of legal experience) to design solutions that are genuinely bespoke to our clients.   She first turned to yoga to carve out some breathing room in her life as a busy M&A lawyer. That idea of 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 is also what drives us at Johnson Hana to finding smarter, more creative ways for lawyers to work, supported by technology and AI.   The concept of 𝗘𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮, 'reaching your highest potential,' is something close to Eudia founder Omar Haroun’s heart, but it also happened to be at the centre of Nadine’s personal and yoga philosophy long before she joined us. A coincidence that felt a bit like a sign of what was to come.   And now, she gets to bring all of that, the legal mind, the creativity, the calm and the purpose into the work she does here every day.

Last week, our team spent two brilliant days in London for Crafty Counsel’s Legal Tech Buyers Club and Fintech Day. 🦊 Our highlight was seeing Emer O'Hora, Johnson Hana’s Head of Legal, take the stage with Simon Woolfman and Eduard ALIA (LL.B., LL.M.) for their panel: "How to infiltrate your business (in a good way): From structure to strategy — how legal teams can embed themselves across fintech businesses to help shape direction and drive value.   𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: Build strong relationships across different departments. Be a business enabler: help the business take the right risks that move it forward. 🚀 If you solve real pain points for the wider business or keep the end user at the centre of decisions, you’ll quickly become a trusted advisor. 🤝 Use KPIs matched to business goals and solicit stakeholder feedback to visibly demonstrate legal’s contribution and continuously improve. 📈 💡Stay agile by prioritising continuous learning; keeping up with regulatory shifts and industry trends; and encourage ongoing professional development within the team. Eduard shared that in his previous role at a global microchip manufacturer, he rarely dealt with the marketing team but in fintech, where financial promotions are heavily regulated, working closely and “infiltrating” the business in a good way is essential to get promotions live and driving growth.   Simon spoke about creating the capacity to become that trusted advisor: use outside counsel, outsource BAU contracts, use secondees, use AI tools.. or a combination of all of the above. Be creative. Understand your role as an enabler and show your intention to be part of the solution for the business. ✨   The Johnson Hana team loved being back in London and especially enjoyed the very cool CodeNode venue. A fantastic and productive two days that reinforced the importance of collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking across the legal and fintech communities.👏

Our CEO and co-founder Dan Fox featured as a special guest at the AIB & Goodbody CEO Founder Dinner last week at AIB HQ following as one of AIB’s exited founder stories. Dan was joined by John Purdy, whose inspiring talk on building Ergo into one of Ireland’s leading technology businesses set the tone for an evening of insight and ambition. The event brought together exceptional leaders across sectors, and it was a privilege for our story to be highlighted among them. We extend our sincere thanks to Cathy Bryce, Alan Mahon and Finlay McFadyen for their longstanding support, and to Martin Tormey for the invitation and warm welcome. As we continue our journey following our recent exit, it was a great opportunity to share more about the work underway at Eudia, where we are building a new category within the legal sector—one that redefines how legal services are delivered with technology, efficiency and client-centred design at its core. We’re excited for what’s ahead!

  • A brilliant outing with clients and colleagues on Saturday for Ireland v South Africa. The result didn’t go our way, but the energy, company, and atmosphere more than made up for it! Huge credit to the Irish team for a great performance, and a big thanks to everyone who joined us — clients and colleagues alike. We are already looking forward to the next one!

  • What a super day at the Crafty Counsel Legal Tech Buyers Club! It was incredibly valuable to hear directly from in-house counsel about their biggest challenges — and reassuring to see how aligned we all are on the pain points that matter most and the solutions that will truly make a difference. From legal tech safari tours to real discussions on driving adoption and boosting efficiency, it was a packed and energising agenda. A huge well-done to Crafty Counsel on a fantastic event. The Johnson Hana team was delighted to be back in London, especially at the fabulous CodeNode venue. We’re looking forward to Fintech Day tomorrow, with more great sessions ahead where we will have our own booth, so please stop by to say hi! And don’t miss Emer O'Hora on her panel: 🤝 How to infiltrate your business (in a good way): From structure to strategy — how legal teams can embed themselves across fintech businesses to help shape direction and drive value. Featuring: Simon Woolfman (Stripe) and Eduard ALIA (LL.B., LL.M.)
