👋 Meet Tom, a military veteran who joined JPMorganChase through the Military and Athlete Transition Program. Here are some of the key moments in his journey 📸 1️⃣ I served eight years as a member of the Royal Marines Band, performing music at prestigious events worldwide, including the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, her funeral, and the coronation of King Charles III. I was also part of a rapid-response team, expertly trained to detect and decontaminate chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. 2️⃣ Having heard about the Military and Athlete Transition Program through friends and inquiring, I was invited to join an insight day to learn more in September 2024. 3️⃣ After a successful application, I was invited to interview for a role based in Frankfurt. I was proud to learn in December that I had been accepted, marking an exciting new chapter in my career! We kicked off the year with a dynamic, week-long induction alongside fellow program participants. This was designed to help us hit the ground running and set the stage for success. 4️⃣ In February, I arrived in Frankfurt to begin my first rotation with the markets compliance team. Joining this high-performing group marked a significant step forward in my journey. 5️⃣ Frankfurt’s culture is fantastic—I’ve enjoyed connecting with colleagues and getting involved in local initiatives like Innovation Week and the renowned Corporate Challenge, which saw over 64,000 participants run through the city. 6️⃣ In July, I began my second rotation within compliance, shifting my focus to reporting on regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, and remediating issues identified during audits. 7️⃣ Earlier this year, J.P. Morgan became the first financial institution to earn Germany’s “Partner of the Reserve” award, recognizing our outstanding support for Germany’s armed forces reservists. The team is proud to set a new benchmark for employer commitment and excellence! 8️⃣ I’m proud to have accepted a full-time Associate Quality Reviewer position at the Bournemouth campus starting next year. The Military and Athlete Transition Program has been an invaluable experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey at the firm.
