Great founders turn real problems into solutions. As Kidus Asfaw, CEO of our portfolio company Kubik, Inc. puts it - technology or trends alone are not enough. The best founders understand human needs and create solutions that truly improve lives. Ask yourself: 💡 What challenges need solving? ⚡ What solutions can be improved or scaled faster? 🌱 How can I create impact while building a profitable, sustainable business? Focus on meaningful problems, iterate relentlessly, and design for real human needs. That is how ideas become businesses that matter.

We are delighted to welcome Agathe Blanluet Terrou as Co-Investments Director at Satgana! 🐝 Agathe brings a unique combination of experience across Venture Capital, Asset Management, and DeepTech, rooted in a global outlook and a strong commitment to impact. She joins us from Otrera New Energy, a French DeepTech nuclear startup and laureate of the France 2030 Innovative Reactors program, where she led investment strategy and co-drove international expansion. Before Otrera, she spent three years at Capital Group in London, the world’s largest active Asset Manager, covering Retail and Consumer Goods in North America and contributing to sector recommendations across Tech and Energy. She previously worked in VC at Serena, and at Inside Capital Partners, a firm based in Mauritius investing across Southeast Africa, where she supported due diligence and portfolio scaling efforts. She also held strategic roles at Danone and Edmond de Rothschild. 🌟 Agathe graduated from HEC Paris and Università Bocconi, and was awarded McKinsey & Company’s Next Generation Woman Leader prize in 2019. Beyond her professional track record, she brings deep engagement in education, equal opportunity, African entrepreneurship, and geopolitics. She serves as Vice President of the Julienne Dumeste Foundation, is a mentor at AfroClimate supporting small businesses across the continent, teaches geopolitics, and advises a Malagasy startup working with artisans to scale internationally. 💡 Agathe will be rolling out our co-investment strategy, enabling our community of investors to access exclusive Climate Tech opportunities across stages, typically hard to access for individual investors. This will allow them to invest alongside Satgana and other top-tier funds, partnering with remarkable founders shaping a climate-positive future. She shares: “I’m thrilled to deepen my commitment to the planet with Satgana, through both investment and education. And to keep acting on the ground — and start somewhere — when I’m not speaking with investors or our founders, you’ll probably find me in my ‘happy place’ in Corrèze (a region in France’s so-called ‘diagonale du vide’) … planting trees!” Based in Paris 🇫🇷, Agathe will be instrumental in strengthening Satgana’s co-investment capabilities and supporting our mission to back ambitious founders building scalable solutions. She embodies the blend of global perspective, analytical rigor, and values-driven leadership that we strive for at Satgana. 🧡 Welcome to the team, Agathe! We’re thrilled to build the next chapter together.

Back to Paris. Back to VC. Thrilled to join Satgana, a leading Climate Tech VC investing across Africa and Europe 🌍 I’ll be leading our co-investments strategy — making it easier than ever for our community of investors and friends to invest alongside the fund into high-potential Climate Tech opportunities, typically unavailable to individual investors. If you’re interested in joining a purpose-driven and returns-focused community, let me know - agathe@satgana.com And thanks to the amazing Satgana team for your trust and kindness ! 🙌

Technology alone won’t scale the carbon removal industry. Infrastructure, policy clarity and market alignment will. Two weeks ago, during Patch’s Brussels CDR Tour with Sirona Technologies and Isometric, this became very clear. Across the European Commission briefing, the MRV and standards discussion, and the visit inside Sirona’s DAC R&D and production space, one insight stood out: Carbon removal is becoming a system, not a standalone product. What that system needs: 🔧 Capture hardware built for local energy and climate realities 🔨 Transport and storage networks that scale together 📊 Strong MRV and transparent durability standards 🏛️ Policy that sets eligibility and long-term obligations 🏢 Buyers preparing for voluntary and compliance convergence For us as supporters, seeing this ecosystem come together on the ground matters. The voluntary market is already teaching the practices that compliance markets will soon require. A special congratulations to the Sirona Technologies team for opening their lab, sharing their process and demonstrating what real execution looks like. Their clarity, precision and hardware-first approach were a highlight of the entire tour. If you have the chance to join a future briefing or field visit, it’s worth it! This is where the next phase of carbon removal is being shaped 👀 Christian HolzleitnerSvea NybergIETA

Last week we hosted the Brussels Carbon Removal Tour together with Patch and Isometric: an exclusive, focused event for sustainability professionals who wanted a closer look at the policy, standards, and technology shaping high-quality carbon removal. ▪️We started the afternoon at the European Commission, where Christian Holzleitner gave a clear and timely briefing on the CRCF and how the EU is integrating removals into the ETS. ▪️We continued over dinner with Svea Nyberg from IETA, who connected the dots between emerging EU policy and what this means for corporates preparing their long-term decarbonization strategies. ▪️The group then visited us at Sirona Technologies, where we opened up our R&D space for a workshop tour, a look into our lab, and a virtual visit of Project Moringa in the Middle East. Across all conversations, one theme kept coming back: The market is moving toward high-quality, durable carbon removal, backed by strong MRV, transparent standards, and credible long-term storage. Buyers are preparing for a world where voluntary and compliance markets converge, and where durable CDR becomes a core part of long-term climate strategies. If you’re interested in joining a future visit or would like a similar briefing for your team, feel free to reach out.

Africa ➡️ to Europe is a trajectory we should highlight more often, especially as we speak with partners who understand how cross-market execution creates durable value. 🌍 Wattnow is scaling a precise, data-driven energy intelligence platform built in Tunisia and Morocco and now deploying it in France! What stands out here is not a sustainability story, but a performance one: solving real efficiency challenges, adapting to fundamentally different market conditions, and proving a clear ROI for customers. This kind of operational depth and ability to compete across geographies is exactly what defines the strongest climate and energy companies of the next decade. A strong case of Africa to Europe execution. Congratulations to Issam Smaali, Malek Atallah and all the Wattnow team on this milestone! 👏

Science creates solutions. ⬇️ Entrepreneurs turn them into scalable impact. ⬇️ Capital helps them reach the world. Scientific breakthroughs have the potential to improve lives and industries, but many innovations in energy, materials, biotech and carbon solutions struggle to scale without the right funding, validation or operational support. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re exploring the next wave of impact. Which scientific advance do you think will have the strongest market impact in the coming year? And which will shape the next five years? We imagine they could be in: 🔋 Energy 🍓 Food 🌾 Agriculture 🚗 Mobility 🧪 New Materials 🏗️ Built Environment Sustainability matters, but adoption happens when solutions deliver clear value. 👀 Are there any we haven’t listed?
