What a great first day at HISWA te Water 2025! After a few raindrops in the morning, the sun broke through and we enjoyed a very successful opening day at Bataviahaven. A special highlight was seeing our founder Dorus Wajer honored with the 2025 Oeuvre Award. A wonderful recognition of his vision, craftsmanship and lasting contribution to Dutch yacht building – from his very first work on De Kapiteinssloep to today’s Wajer fleet. Everything we do at Wajer is still built on the foundation Dorus laid, and we’re proud to carry that forward every single day. We’re looking forward to welcoming many more of you in the coming days and showing you the Wajer 38, Wajer 44 and of course our new Wajer 55 up close for the first time.

If you want something done right, do it yourself. Words to live - and build yachts by. In Heeg, the heartland of Dutch boatbuilding, we craft every Wajer in-house. More than 350 specialists work side by side here: carpenters, engineers, upholsterers, painters and designers. It’s a team effort that begins in Heeg and carries on wherever our yachts set sail.

This September, we're going to do the Cannes Yachting Festival a little differently. As a matter of fact, we're not doing the Cannes Yachting Festival at all. This time, instead of tying our yachts to a dock among dozens of other boat builders, we'll be just around the corner, hosting our own, invitation-only sea trial event. After years as an official partner and shuttle sponsor in Cannes, we're now choosing a more personalized approach instead of the masses. It is one of the busiest weekends of the year for Wajer. Early morning in Amsterdam with a cappuccino in hand, 23 Wajers lined up to set course to IJmuiden. From there, we joined the SAIL-In, turning back over the Noordzeekanaal, we found ourselves side by side with the world’s most legendary historic tall ships. Every five years, SAIL Amsterdam transforms the city into one of the world’s largest maritime stages. Dozens of tall ships arrive from international ports to join Dutch classics, forming a floating museum on the water. The weather was flawless, the energy on board even better, and by the time we reached Amsterdam, the water was buzzing with boats and pure Dutch 'gezelligheid'. We rounded it all off the Wajer way: back at the office with chilled rosé, delicious food and even better company. Relive the day with us in the recap video below.

Over the past weeks, we’ve brought our owners together for moments that define the Wajer experience. In the South of France, we hosted intimate lunches at the stunning La Brigantine on Île Sainte-Marguerite. The perfect setting to connect, share stories, and celebrate what it truly means to own a Wajer. Meanwhile, in Ibiza, it was all about action. Nearly 50 Wajers anchored around the island, creating a breathtaking scene across the bay. On the water, our owners engaged in playful challenges where rivalry and teamwork went hand in hand. Afterwards, the winners proudly collected their prize: the coveted golden Wajer polestick. With a drink in hand, surrounded by friends who make the Wajer family so special, we raised our glasses to another unforgettable season. Thank you to all who made these moments so special.

A big milestone this week in Heeg: the new Wajer 55 touched the water for the first time. Maneuvering the yacht from the yard to her new outside habitat is a true team effort, bringing together precision and expertise. For the first time, she’s afloat. Did you know we host an annual trip for Wajer owners? It's the perfect chance to explore beyond your home port. Last month, six Wajers cruised from Saint-Tropez to Corsica. We began with a beachside lunch near Calvi, then continued south to the stunning Four Seasons Domaine de Murtoli. We wrapped up the trip with a stop in Sardinia, where owners shared good times and experienced the joy of traveling with their Wajer. We can’t wait for the next adventure, see you there?
