Today we're excited to announce that Ruminant Biotech has officially closed its $17M NZD Series A funding round! This investment, co-led by Rosrain Investments and Cultivate Ventures, with significant investment from global financial services platform Marex and follow-on funding from AgriZeroNZ, will help commercialise our world-leading methane mitigation solution. Livestock methane emissions currently make up approximately 6% of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions globally. This funding will allow us to tackle this problem at scale, launching our first high-impact, long-duration solution to reduce methane in pasture-based cattle across Australia and New Zealand in 2026. It’ll also enable our business to advance regulatory approvals in priority markets such as Brazil, Europe, the UK, USA, and Canada, and tap into the rapidly growing value in carbon markets - providing farmers with a financial incentive to reduce on-farm emissions.
