Jazz recently participated in the WECON Masawaat 2025 Policy Roundtable, “Gender Lens on Policies,” which convened sector leaders to examine how Pakistan’s policy environment can more effectively support women entrepreneurs. Rabia Kuli Khan Khattak, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Jazz, joined ecosystem partners to discuss the disconnect between policy intent and on-ground realities, explore opportunities for stronger cross-sector coordination, and highlight how gender-responsive policymaking can advance women’s meaningful participation in business. The dialogue reaffirmed a shared commitment across public, private, and development stakeholders to accelerate women’s entrepreneurship through informed policy reform, inclusive financing pathways, and sustained capacity-building. Jazz remains committed to championing equitable opportunity and contributing to national efforts that enable women-led enterprises to thrive.

Meet Ifrah from our Consumer Division. From starting her journey in the field to now contributing to digital innovation, Ifrah has experienced Jazz as a place where people are trusted to take on new challenges, grow in their roles, and build confidence along the way. Her story reflects how the right environment can shape both professional ambition and personal transformation. At Jazz, inclusion isn’t just a principle: it informs how we design, communicate, and connect with our audiences. Recently the Digital and DEI teams launched the Tamasha Women Channel, a dedicated space that brings women’s everyday realities to the forefront through relatable, culturally grounded storytelling. Covering themes from health and awareness to identity and agency, the channel uses familiar narratives and cultural touchpoints to spark meaningful conversations and amplify women’s voices across communities.

At Jazz, we believe that the future of work will be shaped by how organizations reimagine their people practices. That's why we're proud to sponsor Connex, Pakistan's premier HR and people leadership forum, bringing together voices that are driving real change in the world of work. This partnership reflects our commitment to engaging top talent and positioning Jazz as a future-ready digital employer, one where people, purpose, and technology work together to create what's next. Chief People Officer, Tazeen Shahid, joined a thought-provoking panel on how organizations are moving towards skills-based, transparent, AI-enabled compensation models that value impact over tenure. She shared how Jazz is already living this shift: * Agility is no longer optional; the ecosystem we operate in demands faster cycles, simplified structures, and people processes that can evolve with the business. * At Jazz, we reward people for the value they create. Talent is recognized for impact, innovation, and ownership. * Our lean, flat structure ensures that everyone has a fair chance to grow. * Above all, when people feel connected to a larger purpose, they show up differently. At Jazz, improving lives and livelihoods isn't just our mission, it's what fuels engagement and performance. Forums like Connex help shape the conversations that will define the next decade of work. We're proud to be part of it, and even more proud to be building a workplace where talent truly thrives.

Jazz has begun rolling out free SIMs for two million BISP beneficiaries, most of which are already linked to JazzCash wallets. This nationwide effort supports the government’s vision for a cashless and transparent social safety net. Through this initiative, Jazz continues to advance digital and financial inclusion for Pakistan’s most vulnerable women.

At MWC Doha 2025, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz, joined global leaders in a conversation on Sovereign AI and the evolving Digital Power Map. His message was clear: when a nation reaches a certain population scale, developing local language LLMs becomes a strategic imperative rather than an optional innovation. For countries like Pakistan, the stakes are high. If we want our voice to be heard in the global AI landscape, and if we want our digital identity and context reflected accurately, we need models that understand our languages, our cultural nuance, and our lived realities. Losing that context means losing relevance in a world increasingly shaped by AI. Aamir emphasized that this journey cannot be taken alone. Real progress will require strong public and private sector collaboration, clear policy direction, and a national commitment to investing in AI readiness. With the right partnerships, investment and innovation, Pakistan can secure its place in the race as an active contributor shaping the future of AI.
