Still buzzing from all the excitement of last week's Aviation AFRICA Summit & Exhibition, which was held in Kigali, Rwanda. ✨ Over 2000 attendees 💫 An opening keynote from President Paul Kagame ✨ The first ever electric air taxi demonstration flight EHang (NASDAQ: EH) in Africa were all highlights from the event. 🔊 But so too were the lively panel discussions which addressed safety issues, sustainable growth, high taxes, engagement with future aviators, lack of infrastructure, regulators being quizzed about next steps, governments being challenged for being disconnected from the industry and Africa's aviation leaders calling for Africans to take action and write their own aviation narrative. 🇷🇼 Success stories were also shared. Rwanda being one - a beacon for Africa in recognising aviation as an economic enabler, unlocking mobility solutions and investing in and supporting the sector. 🌍 And there were some seriously heated discussions too, but these were fuelled by passion for a sector which is filled with opportunity and the reminder that the African Union is comprised of 55 member states each with their own requirements, regulations, governments, economies and agendas. It is not one country. 🛫 Dawit Lemma summed it up in his key note - the continent's future is now and the world can no longer ignore African skies!
