CASE STUDY: Sainbury and Sons The aim for this project was to reduce the shop's electricity costs and carbon footprint while keeping day-to-day retail operations running smoothly. Our solution was to install a 34 kWp rooftop solar-PV system, engineered to generate around 17.2 MWh of clean electricity each year, and to secure a £10,000 grant from Aberdeen City Council in partnership with SCARF to offset capital costs. This project produced excellent outcomes, markedly decreasing grid electricity consumption and operating expenses, avoiding CO₂ emissions, and strengthening Sainsbury & Sons’ sustainability credentials. This role offers the opportunity to design, optimize, and deliver cutting-edge renewable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering: Lead electrical designs for solar PV, biomass CHPs, heat pumps, and solar thermal projects. Project Management: Support projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring compliance with safety standards and budgets.
