💜 Supporting our colleagues through every stage of life.
At L&C, we regularly review our employee benefits to make sure they reflect what our colleagues truly value and use. Over the past few years, we’ve worked hard to remove the stigma around menopause through open conversations, shared stories, education and leadership support.
We’re passionate about creating a culture where our colleagues can thrive at every stage of their journey, both personally and professionally.
That’s why we’re proud to now include reimbursement for HRT medicine payments within our employee benefits, alongside our Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing hub support. A small but impactful step in championing wellbeing, equality, and long-term health.
Janine Salmon, L&C’s Head of Talent shares: “I have always been vocal of my menopause journey and the amazing support I’ve received from L&C but today, they took it one step further and honestly it means more than words can say.
When an organisation chooses to cover the cost of HRT, it sends a powerful message that women’s health, experience and contribution truly matter. It’s more than a medical benefit; it’s a statement of value and belonging. For many of us, navigating menopause can be an incredibly personal and challenging time, and having that support in place feels like the company is saying, ‘we want you to stay.’ It recognises that we don’t have a sell-by date, that our knowledge, leadership and care continue to grow with time and that our wellbeing is essential to the business, not incidental.
Knowing that my employer understands this stage of life and actively wants to make it easier to manage is empowering. It makes me feel seen, valued, and invested in not just for what I’ve done, but for everything I still have to give. It’s a true example of inclusion in action, supporting women not just to work, but to thrive.”
