As COP30 advances a global commitment to phase down fossil fuels, and the G20 elevates poverty reduction as a defining priority, one truth is becoming impossible to ignore: Capital allocation is climate policy. It is also social policy. Where investment flows, jobs, incomes, resilience, and opportunity follow. Yet more than 70% of global venture capital still flows to software, AI, and SaaS, sectors that scale fast, employ few, and concentrate returns geographically. Climate and sustainability technologies, despite their far greater societal multipliers, remain structurally underfunded. But what if the balance were reversed? Redirecting 70% of risk capital toward clean energy, sustainable agriculture, circular manufacturing, and resilient materials could: • Create 250-300 million jobs within a decade. • Lift 200-300 million people from poverty through localised green value chains. • Generate $300-$400B in new annual tax revenue. • Reduce climate displacement by tens of millions. • Stabilise global food systems for up to 500 million people. These aren’t environmental benefits alone, they are economic, developmental, and humanitarian imperatives. Yet one barrier persists: capital cannot scale what it cannot trust. Today, investors lack a certified, independent, globally recognised view of clean technologies, their readiness, performance, comparability, and credibility. Fragmentation undermines confidence, slows deployment, and limits investment precisely where it is most needed. This is why a Certified Global Clean Technology Database is essential. A transparent, standardised, independently governed registry of vetted climate solutions would: • Reduce due-diligence friction and technology risk • Accelerate institutional capital deployment • Unlock emerging-market deal flow • Support governments and multilaterals in effective planning and procurement • Create trust at scale — the missing currency of the global green transition As Grant Budge, CEO of PeroCycle, captures it: “If we want real decarbonisation, we need clarity. Independent, transparent assessment of climate technologies isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the foundation for sound policy, confident capital, and the decisions organisations must make every day to cut emissions with conviction.” In the year of COP30, and with the G20 calling for growth that reduces poverty rather than accelerates inequality, this infrastructure is not optional. It is a prerequisite for a global green pathway. If we want prosperity without planetary collapse, and resilience without leaving billions behind, we need capital to see, and believe in, the solutions capable of delivering it. A certified, independent clean-technology database is how we turn that vision into investment, and investment into impact. The future will be defined not only by the technologies we invent, but by the ones we choose to fund.

Why we invented a new CCU technology to decarbonise the steel industry. The world’s modern infrastructure depends on steel, yet producing it remains one of the most carbon-intensive industrial activities on the planet. Steel is part of the “hard-to-abate” sectors because its emissions aren’t just a result of energy use; they are embedded in the chemistry of turning iron ore into steel. High-temperature furnaces, reduction reactions, and continuous production cycles make deep decarbonisation extremely challenging using conventional approaches. Replacing equipment or redesigning plants would take decades the world doesn’t have. So we asked ourselves: what if the path to decarbonisation didn’t require the industry to reinvent itself? That question led us to invent PeroCycle’s carbon loop. Our approach keeps things simple: the steel plant’s CO₂ output becomes our input, and our output CO (carbon monoxide), can become their input. It’s an onsite, circular solution that avoids long transport pipelines, geological storage risks, or reliance on expensive hydrogen. By keeping everything contained at the plant, we can derisk adoption, shorten implementation timelines, and accelerate measurable results. This breakthrough started with Dr Harriet Kildahl’s research, where she developed our unique catalyst capable of converting CO₂ efficiently under real industrial conditions. Her invention is the foundation of PeroCycle’s technology and it’s what makes us the only solution able to offer this level of circularity and simplicity in CCU. PeroCycle stands apart from both traditional CCS and most CCU systems. CCS focuses on capturing and burying CO₂, which requires major infrastructure and long-term liability. Many CCU struggle with the scale of emissions from the steel industry. PeroCycle struggles with neither of these challenges. Our technology transforms CO₂ into CO (carbon monoxide) that can be used to replace coke as a reducing agent, turning a waste stream into a revenue-linked resource. For steelmakers, the impact is significant: reduced exposure to volatile raw material markets, enhanced security of supply, and lower long-term operating costs. Though PeroCycle, decarbonisation isn’t just an environmental upgrade, it becomes a strategic and financial advantage. Our next step is already in motion: building a mobile pilot plant that can be deployed to steel sites worldwide to test, validate, and demonstrate performance directly in real operating environments. If you’re a steel producer or steel buyer, let’s talk. Going green doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t have to be hard. info@perocycle.com #closedcarbonloop #industrialdecarbonisation #ccu

Our CEO, Grant Budge, had the pleasure of joining Georgia Tolley at the Fastmarkets MEIS 2025 Live Lounge to discuss his career journey and the rapidly evolving landscape of CCUS. The conversation highlighted how we need clear policy to enable large-scale, cost-effective decarbonisation for hard-to-abate industries like steel. A big thank you to Georgia and her team for the opportunity and for hosting such an engaging discussion. We’re excited to continue showcasing how innovation can accelerate the transition to a lower-carbon future. #ccu #closedcarbonloop #industrialdecarbonisation

Clear and predictable carbon pricing isn’t just policy - it’s the key to making green steel affordable. Without it, investors hesitate, buyers face uncertainty and emissions keep rising. With it, CCU and other low-carbon solutions scale, premiums shrink and jobs stay secure. PeroCycle is advocating for robust, global carbon pricing. The time to act is now. Our CEO, Grant Budge, will chair a roundtable on 19th November covering technical innovations for decarbonisation at the Middle East Iron and Steel conference in Dubai in November. See you there. #ccu #closedcarbonloop #MEIS

We founded PeroCycle to decarbonise the foundation industries that build our world. This will reduce 7-15% of total global carbon emissions. Our mission is simple: use carbon, don’t waste it. Our closed carbon loop technology converts industrial CO2 emissions into usable carbon monoxide on site, replacing the need for coke to fire the furnace. Over the next few months, we’ll share insights on: - Why CCU is critical for steel and chemicals - How carbon pricing shapes competitiveness - How we reduce the green-steel premium - Why PeroCycle’s technology is different from other decarbonisation pathways Follow us to be part of the journey. #CCU #closedcarbonloop #industrialdecarbonisation

PeroCycle’s closed carbon loop technology will cost the steel industry $285bn less annually than other decarbonisation pathways, making it 40% cheaper than other routes to net zero. Hydrogen and Carbon Capture and Storage will play a select role in the future of steelmaking - but waiting for them on the basis they are the universal answer is wrong and would mean delaying emissions cuts by a decade or more. At PeroCycle, we’re proving that Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) can cut Scope 1 emissions today, on existing plants, without billion-dollar retrofits. Our closed carbon loop technology converts the plant’s CO2 emissions into usable carbon monoxide on site, replacing the need for coke to fire the furnace.
